question about URL forming "localhost" ...

hello guys,
i have set my "IP" setting in HFS to my external Dyndns address, so when I look at my HFS window, it shows up in the address bar at the top (for copying URLs)

the thing is when I click "browse" button, it still opens up "http://localhost/whatever.file".  How can I get it to open up as "http://my.dyndns.com/whatever.file" for example?  is it possible?  thanks guys!
p.s. I am using beta #275!

not possible to access directly to your http://my.dyndns.com/whatever.file

but to disable localhost, uncheck menu>>other options>>browse using localhost

in most cases the dyndns url won't work on your computer.
that's why the localhost thing was introduced.

I understand.  I use Tomato on my router, it has a neat feature where it loops back any forwarded ports so e.g. if your WAN ip is 4.5.6.7 and you have forwarded port 80 to your PC, then even though you might try to access 4.5.6.7:80 from the LAN side of the router, it will still work.  I believe that DD-WRT does this as well, if you enable it.

I can't say enough good things about Tomato.  Currently I am using the "RAF" mod (TomatoRAF) which adds some nice extra features and is one of the only mods that supports newer MIPSR2 based routers (e.g. Asus RT-N16, Linksys/Cisco E3000 etc).  I have set a bunch of these up for friends/business clients and it is quite common that they have uptimes or 300, 400, or 500+ days.
