Hello,
this is my first request of support (and i hope i will finde the solution of my problem).I like this program because iis just very simple to use instead other program that usualy i use are just a  litle more long to configure but atm i'm useing it on a server 100 Mbps where is installed on Ubuntu Desktop.Ihave installed Wine 1.0 that i found in the distro and just downloaded the hfs exe file.I select a user/password and selected a file to share but i notice something, and this is the reason of this post and my reqiest of help...
I will try to explain me as bettar i can olso if English is not my mother language.Usualy i connect to my server from home with  a remote client and i noticed that...
If i'm connected to the server and  my friend downloads the file that i have shared with hfs he can download the file with the speed of the server (as is normal because the hfs is running thear) but...If i minimize Wine or if I minimize hfs or if i disconnect from my server then the speed of the file goes realy very slow,i can say that maybe is bettar my connection speed!
That as i wrote sounds realy very strange just because the program olso if i'm not connected is allways running on the server so nothing is changeing the only this is that i'm connected witch is realy no sense :P
Any help to sort out this problem (that is quindi important because i cant put nothing in share without swithing off my computer.i forget to write the version is 2.2f build 155.
Thank's in advance helping me
PS:Just tested olso last beta version 2.3 build250 same thing olso if i dont get some crash message memory as i got before with older version
Helen

welcome helen!
a week has passed and i fear you won't find any answer here, it's more like a problem of WINE, since i never got reported something like your case before.
good luck

Grazie!Yes i use Ubuntu on the remote server nd the only way to use your prg is under wine.I went on wine website and searched in the list of program that are able to run under "wine" and there was hfs but i olso understnd that wine is an emulator so  something is "norml" that must not run well.Otherwise thnk's replying me
and go on with good job!

Take care
Ciao

don't give up. You should at least ask to Wine's people, since they claim it's compatible with HFS
