OK...just upgraded the beta and copied following portions from default template over to my customized one :

(1) Rename form button
(2) ajax alias for rename
(3) ajax.rename section

Ajax window opens when I click rename...but on Ok javascript error comes up

Any other portions also to be copied over ?

Appreciate it...Thanks

I am able to get the html button and part of the Rename dialog under Actions but how to get the last selected filename into the "Old File" input ... it doesnt change as selection changes...

Anybody with a small example of how to go about renaming files via macros ?

@rejetto :
??? I dont think so ... HFS is counting each thread of download as 1 instead of whole file which means if a user downloads a file using accelerator like Flashget using split into 3 threads... the item-dl-count increments by 3 and NOT 1.

You can test yourself @ ... try any file above 1 MB

That is what my question and dilemma is...

Ouch...that defeats the purpose for which I am using HFS ... its a File Server and runs continously with a bandwidth of around 60-100 Mbps downloads.

Anyways... maybe something can be incoporated in later builds...just a request :)

Aha...I think the filename was what made me cry :(

Anyways will try this now asap :)

OK....%total-downloads% seems to be the total number of downloads by HFS altogether ... not related to a particular file in any way

which brings back to original question :

%item-dl-count% : Number of hits for a file which means 3 threads of download using an accelerator get counted as 3 and not 1
??? : Counts unique download requests irrespective of number of threads from client side

This is my dilemma...not sure if this is already builtin or if can be ?

how can I accomplish this easily....I have my automation software which creates a .md5 with same name as the file when its uploaded via HFS or FTP...

In the listing I want to display this md5 against each of the file......

so ABC.rar has a corresponding ABC.md5 ... now in the template how can I read each md5 on traversal and display next to comments ?

Sorry was out of country.... I am running latest Beta we have 2 seperate counters now - Hits & Downloads ?

What keywords are used for both ?

@KooolaNL : Its a modified template from the default one. Dont have problems 'seing' the hits.

@maverick : The folder hits not showing are by design. I removed them from template...not required for me. As far reading from other software, what I mean is where is the value being stored by HFS itself. For example, File1 - Hits 100 ... now where is HFS storing this value ... in a file / in registry / etc .... I have my own Windows automation software and need to read this value directly from the actual point of storage. Hope I make some sense now :)

Well I tried that and got the ini file also but it does not have any Hits values.....I need to know from where does HFS read the Hits values when showing on webpage...I need to read these values directly from my software thru HFS
