Title: about DDNS function and MENU
Post by: tudor81 on July 21, 2010, 11:37:20 AM
DDNS dont work properly in the last 2.3 beta, and it would better if we have some little window to configure how often HFS will go to no-ip or dyndns to assosiate current ip to the hostname. 2.make HFS start minimized with windows, and go to tray when close(X) is pressed - as default  3.when submenu pop up, i mark some item, whole menu disappears, so i need to go to menu again, look for submenu to see was my mark was plased or not, its VERY uncomfortable for all users of HFS i suppose. I dont know how to connect to creators, so plase my regards here, if u agree with me please re-send this message to creators, i love HFS and want to help it become better. thanks

When you execute hfs for the first time, you have to configure all that you suggest and after we do not speak about it any more.

1-
 you can use the custom config for DDNS :D

2 -
start/exit-->>start minimized

start/exit-->>minimize to tray clicking the close button

3-
It is the same constraint in all the software which use menus ;)

We have already thought about this possibility, but it is not the priority of this moment.
In a distant future, probably that you can use personalized menus, but in the meantime, it will be necessary to make with  :D

It is preferable for you to install the dyndns client on your computer and not to use the dns of hfs, the customer detects automatically any change of ip and updates only when it is necessary, otherwise you go to have a refusal of dyndns.com.
