Title: refresh network list
Post by: rejetto on June 17, 2008, 10:11:42 AM
i need a software to simulate the click on the "refresh network list" in the wifi administration of XP.
it's because i often prefer the keyboard in place of the mouse, and after i switch on my wifi it happened i waited for 1 minute or more.
I searched the web, and found 2-3 other people asking the same thing, but no software, so i tried to build one.
i'm using it, but i'm uncertain about its effectiveness.
as far as i know it is compatible with Vista.
is there out there one of you who has the same need and would like to test?
the point is the i would publish it only if i'm sure it is useful/working.

Program attached.
Requires XP+SP3 or Vista.

I already know it doesn't appear to refresh the list in the window.
It's not a problem anyway, the goal of this program is to force Windows to connect to your access point when it waits too long.
If this problem doesn't apply to you, you won't be able to test its effectiveness.

i forgot to say it may require SP3 (or Vista) to work.
i hoped it would work on SP2 too, but cannot test.

Title: Tsunami of Fysack's messages has passed

Why shouldn't you wake a sleeping cat?
Cats who are deprived of these stages of sleep can become lethargic or irritable, it is therefore better to avoid waking them up as much as possible

and I must say that taking care of an awakened Fysack is not easy  ;D ;D ;D
:P You were right, it was a mess yesterday, when we had another Fysack (https://rejetto.com/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=2219) ‘tsunami’ (it happened on 23-10-2023, and it lasted 4 hours: between 20:26 to 00:20 UTC, approx). It has been a long time since the last tsunami on 2017 (https://rejetto.com/forum/index.php?topic=11791.msg1062036#msg1062036). I could imagine the ‘cleaning’ (the next day) was not fun for the moderator (although it seems Fysack had a lot of fun, posting those crazy messages).

@Fysack: your 46 messages were saved in a special place (very hidden in the forum (https://i.imgur.com/BSWg55Z.gif)), so, don't worry if you don't see them (they were read). Thanks for visiting us...

Hi bmartino1! :) Nice to see you around here again.

I'm n and out of the form don't normally login anymore. Not even sure how to help as alot has changed.
Even if there is a new version 3.0, many users still use HFS v2.3 & v2.4 (which still has very widespread usage), and those users still come around here to ask questions (and our experience could be of help to those users). Although we can't know every answer, we keep alive the good-old days of HFS, by just being active on the forum (that's what I try to do here). You're welcome here anytime... ;)

Cheers,
Leo.-
