you are not alone, I encountered the same problem with the last hfs and this lng file

Is it with these files that you had this problem?

Hi! :)

No, you must not rename the file. It must be named hfs.lng and be placed in the hfs.exe folder.

I don't believe that rejetto's localization system can be used with Poedit ... you're probably talking about a version of hfs released by an another user, or by myself.

However, you can use IniTranslator to help you for translate the hfs.lng file:

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Re: system icons
« on: May 18, 2020, 07:04:46 PM »
In main.dfm : usesystemiconsChk
Isn't this option already optional?

But I don't remember, maybe it is just for the treeview (GUI).

(I vote 2, and 1 too) :)

I hesitate, because the current system, is practical to locate among many files of different genres.

My mother used to tell me about beautiful girls: 'beauty cannot be eaten in salads'.
Maybe it's the same for system icons ... Not pretty, but we can love them anyway.
  ::)

Personally, I don't care if there is an icon on the template buttons, but I like that files and folders have a significant icon.

Mask icons may be sufficient ... but this requires intervention by HFS admin.

WoowwW!!!! 8)

HFS is 18 years old ... It seems that he reaches this year 2020, the age of majority.
What great novelties !!!

Thanks thanks Boss !!  :-* ;D 8)

Edit: One or 2 more days, and you will have exhausted all the todo list. :P

I'm a little sad that I can only test from tomorrow. :-\

The problem of protected folders seems to have been solved.

A strange thing, however; the first time I launched 'Open in browser' to test on protected folder ... the 'Login required' page was displayed, without a box to enter the ID+PASSWORD.
After closing the page and relaunching 'Open in browser', it worked (ID+PASSWORD box displayed) ... I didn't understand why.

The test PC had never seen HFS, so the configuration was blank.

It's strange, here (Windows 2007), with the Japanese characters in the log, if I right click in the window log > font... Tahoma is displayed correctly, in size 12 and Normal.
If I copy the Tahoma Japanese text from the log, and paste it in 'Ms Writer', it tells me 'MS Gothic'.

Otherwise, the display did not seem particularly ugly to me, it must depend on the resolution of the screen (1366*768 here).
However reducing the display in the log to Tahoma size 11 and passing it to Bold seemed prettier ... But it's subjective, I think.

Same as bmartino1

Root protected by an User Acount(with password), acces, upload etc for this account, open (root) in browser (GUI button)... blank page.

I couldn't get this version to work:  :-\

open in browser > /root = connected, but display only a blank page.

open in browser > http://192.168.0.17/ààà/textfile.txt  display 'Not found' page without asking for authentication at any time.

open in browser > http://192.168.0.17/aaa/textfile.txt  display the native browser authentification box, ID+PASSWORD doesn't work.

Edit: if anonymous and anyone access are checked, seem to work (free access without ID+PASSWORD is OK), but
if I try to login from the page ... Error / Bad password

the login problem is silly, and i fixed it very easily, but then had a lot of more work to do for other stuff.
You'll see it fixed in next release, don't worry.
Cool! I had done the same tests as NaitLee, with some "é" and  "à" and "e" and "a:D ... for the same results (but now I know the vowels better). ;)
The next release will be welcome. ;)
