Right, one can make several domain names point to the same address but just differ the port.

The drawbacks are a) need to share the port along with address, b) maybe extra work to manage HFS instances & all VFS files

btw HFS url config make no use at how the server works -- it is used only for URL building

Right. And also the provider's restrictions matter. My provider has a limited number of open user ports.

Two different sites, using only HFS settings.
Menu -Start/Exit -Uncheck "1 instance only".
Launch the first instance of HFS. Menu - IP adress - Put a checkmark in the "Dont include port in URL" box. This will be the first site with an address like http://191.ХХХ.ХХХ.ХХХ.
Launch second HFS instance. Menu - IP adress - Uncheck "Dont include port in URL".
This will be the second site with an address like http://191.ХХХ.ХХХ.ХХХ:8080
I checked it today and it works.

2. the pictures are displayed. I thought it was good, and people wanted to download could do it by saving/right clicking, but if this is not clear enough it's not good. So, i should change the default behaviour for this.

the pictures are displayed - it's good, I like it. I just showed that this function works. Anyone who needs to download can do it with the right mouse button.

my opinion is that hfs 2 makes sense only for occasional usage, it was not designed from the beginning to be always-running.
hfs 3 is already superior for this latter case. Later i hope it will also be better for the former.

1.Menu/Limits - remove ALL restrictions (uncheck all boxes).

2.Menu/Debug/select "Experimental high speed handling"

3. If that didn't help - The situation is similar to the speed limit of YOUR PROVIDER. And then this issue can be resolved only with the provider.

If URL is a domain name, then you can try URL redirecting at your domain name registrar. Perhaps.

Yes, ipv6 FE80::/10 addresses are belong to LAN, not intended for external users.
Also, you can consult the Internet to know if that ipv6 is supported for your ISP. If not, then viewing your HFS server with ipv6 is not possible.

Hello everyone ! In version 2.4.0 RC6, an IP address of the form http://[fe80::2905:9029:e7c9:f31e] is available. When trying to use it to access the server, external users receive a response: "Unable to access the site.". If you use my external address http://188.168.56.22 , the server is available to everyone. Question: An address  of this kind [fe80::2905:9029:e7c9:f31e] is not intended for external users, or have I configured something wrong? Thank you.

I had a similar situation at the end of May. Perhaps this is a hacker attack. In my case, a complex virtual file system was damaged. Failed to restore. Now I'm switching to real folders in HFS, it's more reliable.

I can tell you about the situation in my country. Perhaps this will help. We have all addresses of this kind:
192.168.xxx.xxx
172.16.xxx.xxx
10.xxx.xxx.xxx
127.xxx.xxx.xxx
169.254.xxx.xxx
 behind the provider's router. They cannot be accessed from the external internet network. Services like freedns or noIP no longer help. We buy a permanent IP address from a provider, now this is the only way out.

также прикрепил архив к сообщению. Разархивировать takeback.zip. Файл takeback.standard.tpl положить в папку с HFS. Запустить HFS. Правый верхний угол Menu - HTML template - Change file - выбрать takeback.standard.tpl . Теперь ваш сервер HFS имеет дополнительные функции.
