Can this be done?

If so how?

could it be the dsl  reconnecting your ISP.
Check in the dsl modem or router config for keep alive time or redial period and increase it

I have just played around a bit with this option.
It does solve one problem but opens another.

My users can not browse the shares any longer this is good.

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Right click to add files....issues
« on: November 14, 2007, 04:43:18 PM »
Every time I reight click to ADD TO HFS a box opens asking me choose what file to open it with.....

I do not want to openit I want to add it to the files that can be down loaded!

Pls help.

Does that mean if the dl box reports as :
that the person downloading the file cannot utilize ?

I am using HFS to support a gaming clan, forum pictures, scripts, movies, and other files.

My two concerns are :
1] If I have a link to a direct download it shows my address and port. I do not want the person to be able to "Back" the port # of it and access teh HFS directory to see the other files.

Perhaps there is a way so that the dl dialog box will not show the dl addeess?

2] Well after better thought I guess its just the one
When a forum member activates a download I just dont want them to have  way BACK into my drive.

ps. Port 80 is blocked.

how can port redirection hide the port?

Saddly port 80 is not an option.

Any other way to do this?

Which uses less hard drive space?

Which uses less sytem memory?
