HFS ~ HTTP File Server / PFS - look at this, just like HFS
« on: August 11, 2007, 08:23:18 AM »
i surf download.com, find this software. Personal File Server1.0a at http://www.download.com/Personal-File-Server/3000-2196_4-10341186.html?tag=lst-0-7

look at the GUI, the page.. very very similar.

i will use this on port 8080 today so that you can have a look at the page. haha, they also have edit html template.

i wonder if this program take advantage of free HFS. this program is not free. i only have 20 minutes session, you better have a look fast.

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / way to view archive folder
« on: August 09, 2007, 05:35:33 PM »
this is what my friend say, "archive folder should be place outside the folder, so people can download it before o[en the folder." i think she was right.

we can see in terayon and ToG, file such as mp3, wmv and jpg have special links (called quicklinks and extra). im thinking of having a link to ~folder.tar?recursive for folder that display such that. surely we can just add that link, but the problem is if the folder set not to allow archive download, the link is still present. so, if visitor click on this link, it will point to error page.

what im trying to say is, is there any way to only view the link for folder that archivable, and hide for non-archivable folder. any ideas?

thanks

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / archivable permission based on user
« on: July 23, 2007, 03:06:08 PM »
would it be possible if we can set certain user to be able to download archive and other uses are not? just like restrict page?

if possible, why dont make it like restrict page. right click on any folder, select "allow archive to"> [all, list of available user, new account].

HTML & templates / idea: image slideshow
« on: July 16, 2007, 01:36:37 AM »
im talking about jw image rotator
http://www.jeroenwijering.com/?item=JW_Image_Rotator

why dont we have it in our template, surely it will add more fun. look, terayon already use jw mp3player in its template, ToG also i think (i never have chance to see ToG look). This should be possible isn it?

maybe we can have it only for folder with collection of pictures (again- diff template.. hehe) just like diff template for mp3 in terayon..

« on: July 14, 2007, 01:41:23 AM »
i found something cool in the net today, which i think will be wonderful if we can have it in our template for photo gallery

http://www.agilepartners.com/blog/2005/12/07/iphoto-image-resizing-using-javascript/

it has slider which will resize image preview directly! do you think we can have it in our template?

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / view %item-comment% in tooltip
« on: July 13, 2007, 01:01:00 PM »
from what i understand, let say i want comment of an item to come out in tooltip as i mouseover on the icon for example. i can use <img src="image.gif" title="%item-comment%" />.

however not work by this way. the tooltip show %item-comment%, not the comment.

do i have to put %comment% instead of %item-comment% but i believe tihs way will not work for my template (terayon) since %comment% defined as

[comment]
<div class=comment>%item-comment%</div>

but alt or title should only be in normal text.

are they any way to do this? That Steven Guy, you said u have javascript that can do this trick, can u show it to me?

and last, if an item do not have comment, can we prevent tooltip from showing or can we set it to show "no comment" ? hehehe.. too much to ask.. sorry guys. thanks
