Bug reports / Re: Chrome Bug with login -> Want to hide Statistics
« on: December 11, 2011, 04:13:28 PM »
Google Chrome works fine on login here.
I use a unprotected index page with a /~login link
to enter secure area. Redirect is set to gateway folder
for users.

Only problem I have with Google Chrome is it doesn't
save my ssl cert the way IE, FF & Opera do.

Find external IP only tells you what your external address is presently.
You will need a static IP or a Dyns or No-Ip.
You will need to assign each computer a lan address in the operating
system, then forward a different port in the router to each address.
Each computer's HFS will need to be assigned the port for that computer.
Your external address to connect would be similar to http://12.34.567.123:7412
only changing the :port for the computer you need to connect to.
Turn off firewalls temporarily while testing.

There should be many post's on this forum on this.

Beta / Re: Out of Memory
« on: November 04, 2011, 05:47:05 AM »
Just my 2 cents, but I did a bit of testing here on 279 running on
Wine / Ubuntu, and I'm on my lan which is like downloading and
uploading to myself at the same time, but...
I notice my memory usage according to HFS goes up by an unbelievable
amount and stays after the test is finished. My system monitor doesn't
show that, nor does the swap file. Only thing it shows is CPU usage goes up,
then drops back.
What is interesting, is when I exit the folder I downloaded from, memory
displayed by HFS drops back to normal?

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Re: Download Accelerator Prevention
« on: October 07, 2011, 04:13:13 PM »
OK, I see. The logging is just a nuisance, the real problem are the connections.
I guess the Prevent leaching (download accelerators) feature in Limits doesn't help either?

Myself I wouldn't spend a lot of time developing a script, I'd just notify the user
to stop, or I'd ban their IP with a disconnect. I'd tell them they do have the option of using Archive.

router & port problems / Re: TP-LINK tl-wr740n wireless router problem
« on: October 07, 2011, 05:15:19 AM »
92.244.148.186 is your WAN (external address)
192.168.56.1 is your LAN (internal network address)
This is normal.
Need more info about problem?

What tpl are you using?
Or do you mean [overload|no log] doesn't work?

Does your template have a [overload] section in error-page section?
If so would [overload|no log] work?

Actually, the error pages don't appear to log here at all, now I'm
trying figure out why  :)

router & port problems / Re: HFS does not work through router
« on: September 16, 2011, 07:55:45 AM »
You don't give much info to work with....so
1. Enter the port you want to use in HFS.
2. Enter the static LAN IP address you want to use in your computers operating system
(usually something like 192.168.1.XX, depending on the router) Google for how to, for your OS.
3. Port forward in the router, the port you entered in HFS to the LAN IP you entered in your computer.
4. Turn OFF your firewall, for now. (you can solve problems there later)
You can use http://network-tools.com/ to find your WAN address and
check to see if the port is open at http://canyouseeme.org/
Last time I checked, HFS self test wasn't working.
Your LAN address should be something like http://192.168.1.XX:port/
WAN http://xx.xx.xx.xx:port/
You can connect to your LAN address from your computer, but most routers won't connect to the WAN. (its own address)
WAN testing could be done by someone else, or from work, school, etc.

router & port problems / Re: City Lan question
« on: August 27, 2011, 03:21:25 PM »
Your static ip (WAN) address is the same as your city LAN address?
Is there a different port used for city LAN? Or how do you connect
to another computer on city LAN? Has to be a way to separate them,
other wise they are all WAN. Is it IPv6?

Heres a few comments about how to do this.
Probably is a way to limit by size with a macro,
but this is much simpler.

Just checked self test. It still isn't working here.
If you have a router, use any port you wish.
Use http://canyouseeme.org/ to see if your server
is listening on the port your using.

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Re: Still see jpg files as downloads
« on: August 03, 2011, 05:00:21 AM »
My method works for .css & .js also. I never see them in my log.
This prevents web page images from logging.
This way my shared folders of photos do log.

@ raybob95 The code you posted adds .jpg to the log here.  ???

not sure if this is a bug or not
I don't think it's a bug.

I have all my images in a virtual folder and select them all as a list in VFS window.
Right click on the list, go to Properties > Flags and check "Don't log" and "Don't consider
as download"
I think the file mask only prevents being added to the count of downloads, but doesn't
prevent logging.

RAWR-Designs / Re: Flash Uploader
« on: August 01, 2011, 03:47:41 AM »
I managed to take the google gears api of plupload and integrate it right into my site.   Even neater is that i made it pop up with $.prompt. I'll post a template later...

I'd be interested, if you'd care to share it  :)

Don't know about the security issue mentioned, but since HFS doesn't
support php, etc, I wonder if it should be a concern,

My testing shows it to work on Ubuntu 11.04/Wine, and being able to
select and upload a list of several files at once is a much needed missing
feature of HFS.

I'm going to try adding it either to my tpl as a [section] or as a remote tpl.
Changes to the css, and adding breadcrumbs, etc, and I think it has potential.
Thanks for sharing.
