Hi all,

iv been trying to use the latest beta build of HFS 2.4RC7 recently but have come across an issue which I don't have with HFS 2.3 and I'm looking for some advice how to fix it.

I use a url forwarding service for my external ip address which works fine with HFS 2.3 but it seems with HFS 2.4 I get a bug where is will constantly say "Login Required" and the browser will just flash this continually. When I check the connection stats on HFS it is just disconnecting over and over again running through various different ports with no ending until I close the browser page (image attached).

I have tried using other templates to see if this fixes the issue but regardless of template being used this same issue is still there, any ideas what's happening here ?

I really like the newer template login screen with 2.4 but this stops me using it  >:(

Thanks for your help!

i can see tyhoemthing wrong in your  template ( not the default but test.html)
login button has this format url

http://***.***.***.**:6512/http://***.***.***.***:6512

It is quite normal from a browser in the local network the DNS addresses cannot be used, only the local IP addresses 127.0.0.1 or the one provided by the dhcp are functional

to check the dns address, it is necessary that the browser does not exit through the router which serves HFS, either another communication line, or then first connect to a proxy server which will redirect you to router-> hfs in using the dns url

Try the stripes template http://rejetto.com/forum/index.php?topic=13415.msg1066702#msg1066702
version for hfs2.4 has
[unauth]
{.redirect|/~login.}

So, instead of lasting error screen, it should show the login screen instantly.
Also use:  Menu > Other > Users > After Login Redirect To (your real folder).
