They know they are not the only subdirectories of the directory are currently being sought.

The current search looks into all the folder where an user has access.
To look for a file into a single folder is sufficient to enter in that folder and use the "search" feature of any browser.
Maybe I got it wrong ??? ???

He is talking about recursive and non-recursive searching. The advanced search I created achieves this. But I do not think the default template needs it. To make ?search= work with recursive, enable recursive listing in your hfs.

Now you try it with other words to explain ??? ???
Requested GET /
Requested GET /music store/
Requested GET /music store/Songs 2009/
Requested GET /music store/Songs 2009/?search=Harry+Potter
it is clear that Harry Potter is not in "Songs 2009" will take place.
The same could also happen with a song which is in another folder is located.
Try just figuratively represent
----------------------------------------!!---------------------------------------!!

what you are asking for, is not an improvement, it only fills up the screen.
If your visitors search for 'harry potter' in folder music store .. y fear to those people a new option would not help anyway ;).

just know that you don't even need to wait for a new version to be published.
by editing the template, you can decide where to apply the search.
if you don't know html and javascript, someone may help you with such change.
@tsg
he's talking about recursive on current forlder and recursive on root.
