so, can you tell me what are the conditions that cause the problem?
is gigabit a necessary condition?

I know only one thing, when I disabled the speed limit for single address
and the problem of freezing disappeared.
Set only the max simultaneous downloads from single address in the value: 2

2
Upload at gigabit speed, simultaneous with downloads, can stop it.
That problem is different because UI is responsive at the console but clients can't connect until server is restarted.

We don't have a watchdog feature yet, so. . .

Attached is hfs.events file with caching and 4 am reboot.
Then each morning it can restart hfs and be ready again.

New problem:  Not all versions of HFS work with [at 4:05] timer in events file.
You can check the log to see if it starts at 4:06 am.

My Version of HFS 2.4rc2
Here it is necessary not only to stop and start the server, but to completely close it and open it again. This is only using the Windows Task Scheduler.
I just don’t want to bother with this. The speed limit is simply disabled. And OK!

Without wanting to appear defeatist, hfs has not evolved directly to https without having to use SSL, another evolution of the web is moving towards ipV6, this will probably be the limit of use for hfs.

I have never displayed in the ip address bar  ipV6 ?  Are these ip addresses somehow replaced by simple ipV4 ?   :o

So, this is going like filling the bathtub, whereby 100 megabits = 1 faucet or gigabit = 10 faucets simultaneously and a flooding problem.  For connection speeds like that, HFS needs changed to schedule dealing with the data, pro-rata higher than accumulating it.

Instead of waiting for an update, I suggest that you buy the cheapest USB to 100 megabit Ethernet adapter from ebay, for $2.  So, just fix the ip address, aim HFS at it; and if you continue to have trouble, try (ethernet adapter settings of windows) set it to a lower speed.  Given the added adapter, you won't have to slow down your whole server; however, it will take another Ethernet cable.

Alternatively, you could try OpenMediaVault, which is a Linux-based operating system for x86 and many of the little ARM systems.  Or, for Windows, some FTP servers can do heavy duty workloads.

I Disabled the speed limit for single ip. And generally turn off the speed limit.

Set only Maximum simultaneous downloads for single address: 2

The program has stopped freezing!  Hallelujah!!!  This all happens to cause a speed limit.  Now everything is clear!

I will not have to limit the speed otherwise it will freeze.

I think that the problem isn't in scope for a template.

But, just in case...

Here's a development version that didn't make it.  It would be interesting if this stopped your freezes.

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Re: i've been hacked

Thanks!
Sent to the ban ip from which was requested head /
Is it possible to automatically configure such IPs with such a request to be blocked?

Maybe the problem is in connecting IPv6?
What are these displayed in hfs?
Memory max. hfs takes about 160 MB!
Download speed about 120-180 Mbps
Large file uploads from 700 MB to 4 GB
I use real folders in the program!

Settings :
Speed Limit for Single address : 1800 KB/s
Max Simultaneous  downloads for single address : 2

Version 2.3 K also freezes .. Useless!

This version hangs even more often than version 2.3 m !

I have a gigabit connection and it is impossible to use. Simultaneous connections up to a maximum of 40. The speed is limited for

each IP to 2000 KB. The program freezes every 4-5 hours. It has become unrealistic to use..

Please give a link to version 2.3 K ! But from the official website rejetto. I'll try to use it.

I don’t quite understand how to create this?

Quote
Either adding a slower secondary interface to the server (just for HFS)

I do not want to use another netlimiter program as a crutch! :o

Why does this freeze occur once a day or once every two days? It is very strange? Can increase RAM from 4 gigabytes to 8 GB? Two slots RAM in two threads. Maybe this will help? It is strange that with version K I did not notice this.
If reboot PC more often, hfs freezes more often. Now using version 2.4 rc2

Except for gigabit connections, No hung requests with:
HFS 2.4rc2

Is this a beta testing version?
What does it mean, with the exception of gigabit connections, there are no hanging requests? I have a gigabit connection, and this can cause hfs to freeze? Cable connection, without a router.

The  hfs.events  file goes in the same folder as hfs.exe--from the keyboard, you can do Alt+F6
Also set downloads per ip to 3
Also set connections per ip to 4
And, turn off speed limit; turn off speed limit per ip.

Why do you insist on turning off the speed limits? The speed limit can lead to such errors? And what is the difference between downloads per ip and connections per ip?

because speed limit is vulnerable to download manager attack
The attack was carried out using browsers, not the download manager.. In my case...

Thanks advance and Best regards!

Options:
Remove the speed limit.
and
There's a different option (tested only slightly):
in hfs.events file
[+download]
{.set speed limit for connection | 625.}

I can not remove the speed limit because attacks were sometimes with ip, which download with high speed. I created the file and pasted it  [+download]
{.set speed limit for connection | 625.}.
But it does not work for me.

Options:
hfs.events file
[at 4:00]
{.stop server.}
[at 4:01]
{.start server.}

I meant to close the program completely and re-open it .. Remotely. This is the only way to get rid of the freeze program.
Probably to use the timeviewer sometimes !?  :o

Or put the second RAM 4 GB increasing to 8 GB and in two threads. Will this help?
Or does it not depend on memory?  Freezing of the program occurs arbitrarily when I do not use the PC!!!

 I have settings :

Speed Limit for Single address : 2500 KB/s

Max Simultaneous  downloads for single address : 4

HFS works in minimize to tray..  Still, the program sometimes crashes by itself for no apparent reason.

Is it possible to restart the program remotely? When there is no access to the PC.
