Title: Build 198
Post by: fjgh on August 18, 2008, 11:03:18 AM
This new build seems to have some file problems.  When this build is installed, the windows installer stops working.  A 'msi' file must be right clicked and 'install' must be clicked in the drop down menu.  Just clicking on any 'msi' files does nothing when build 198 is installed.  The problem goes away if HFS is uninstalled.

Another problem occurs when installing new software.  The 'msi' file ends up into the HFS files system as if I dragged it into the left HFS pane.  Files mysteriously end up in the HFS server by themselves.

This problem can arise with different extensions, as it was reported, and doesn't seem to be bound to a specific one.
So, other people will not find the same problem as you.
We didn't come to a point, in how this problem works.
Indeed, HFS doesn't bind to .msi files, but to all files (through the "*" symbol).
So, for some files, they get associated automatically to HFS because of this.
It has to do sth with the registry, but i'm not an expert and didn't find an explanation.
Maybe someone else will...
