&RQ / corrupted history file

Alright, so when I read the history file I reverse your function to get the unixtime?

Then I'll just need to know how to get a double from the eight bytes.

It seems after the "history is corrupted" dialog, it shows all entries before the crash so I know which entry is corrupted if I just could decrypt the history file or get the timestamp to search for.

Well I can almost read the corrupted file now.
I just need to know how to convert the timestamp bytes to a unix time format (seconds since 1970). Please help!  :!:  :)

Developers / I'm thinking about a plugin...

The applet could communicate with a process on the server (the plugin) with some protocol. The plugin asks &rq to connect, send messages, read messages, contact list info etc. For this to work, all functions in &rq should be accessible from a plugin. (like retrieve preferences window, push button in preferences window and so on..)

Thanks, I'll look into it when my computer is up and running (memory issue I think). Btw. Ultraedit is quite good for hexedit :)

You're lucky it was my longest history file then :)
Is there some byte after FF FF FF FF that says how long a message should be?

I'm not sure the contact would like if I send the chat log..:)
I know the corrupt entry is in the last 1% of the file.

It sounds like a good idea, am I being able to "hook unto" my &rq session at home and control it if it's already online too?

I mean, like watching my chat window and contact list remote (password protected off course).

Yesterday I got a BSOD at the same time I got a message so the message wasn't entirely logged. Now when I click the history button in chat window a dialog telling me the history was corrupted is shown, then it shows all non-corrupt entries. Is there a way for me to locate the corrupt entry and delete it?

&RQ / Group color doesn't work
« on: May 27, 2002, 06:43:23 AM »
I put this in a themes file:

group.font.color = 0000ff

The group color is still dark red.

&RQ / can't set colors in msg box ?

You set it in the themes ini-file. For now you have to reload &rq to apply the changes.

Ah.. ok.. well the icons are from a Miranda icon pack. I just copied them as they were.

&RQ / status icons in chat window
« on: April 03, 2002, 06:29:45 AM »
Ever since 0.8.3.* status icons in chat windows are gray for me, before they were shown correctly.

By the way, I want an option to show status icon at online events instead of the oncoming icon.
This might screw up your event handler, so do not give it high priority if you don't think it's a small patch :)

Developers / extra info in set status?
« on: March 29, 2002, 12:30:54 PM »

I'm developing an icq clone and today I implemented the online user event
(also used for status change) and when I changed status in &rq a couple of new TLVs were sent:
0x0011 with length 5 and 0x00012 with length 2. Care to explain what they're for? :)

&RQ / feat req: message redirection
« on: March 11, 2002, 12:04:47 PM »

I'm using several uins at different places (home, work etc.) I was thinking if it would be possible to activate some kind of redirection service to duplicate messages to another uin?

Useful as well would be to be able to answer messages as another uin (add some redirect header &rq could understand), by sending messages to your other uin that redirects them to the person you want to message. This has lower priority though.
