Title: HFS and DMZ
Post by: albyyx on July 02, 2012, 12:13:10 AM
Hi,

I have just reinstalled hfs after some time and a router change as well.
I have never had this problem, so i'm a bit confused, I have a DMZ setup in the computer internal address and the port 8080 is visible from www.canyouseeme.org which leads me to believe that the port forwarding is working fine...

However, when i do the self test, i keep on receiving a failure, and an error message that I am behind a router and i need to make sure my computer is configured to forward port 8080 to my computer.  ??? ??? ???

Any ideas why might this be happening? i really don't know where could I look at...
PS: My internal IP address is static in the DHCP so it never changes for this machine.

Forgot to say... I am using 8080 because I get an error when i try to use 80 (cannot open port 80 is being used by another machine <-- or something similar...)

I'll appreciate any help, hint or... whatever

Thanks!

self-test is giving "false negatives" lately.

Ask a friend if he can see your server.

Hi crazyboris thanks for the post...

I have just found out today that even with negatives the server is working...

And I've spent a week thinking about throwing the computer through the window... :D:D

Anwyay, HFS rules  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D and rules twice as much when its working fine :D
