file hits is store in  .vfs

virture file system is not often changed. Generally hfs just read it at startup.
file hits just like a log, it changed frequently as user's http request.

I think they are two kinds things. one is still and one is frequently changed.one is important and one is temporary.

And if adding many html page with picture, sizeof file hits will become big, because that's not only a number of hits,it include file path.
Mayby 100 pages with 300 pics, they will make 400 lines in .VFS.

So I still Suggest adding a option to disable file hits,or separate vfs and file hits  into two files.

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / About "apache log file format"
« on: September 25, 2007, 08:07:06 PM »
I set "apache log file format" with "%h %l %u %t "%r" %>s %b"
but log was not accepted by WebLog Expert, because character "九月" can't be recognized by weblog expert.

I changed "九月" to "Sep", it work normal.
Is there any way to output regular log file?

HFS displays the format selected in your Windows Control Panel.  If you want to make a change go there.   If you had the ISO format set in HFS before, de-select it and select it again and you will get the output that you selected in the Control Panel.  Works here.  See attached.

Thanks a lot,I have format it in windows control panel!

Beta / Re: Testing build #136
« on: September 19, 2007, 11:32:01 PM »
with 135 136

I had input "http://690.myip.org", but any one can browse any page and down files with my ip address or my other domain. I lookup the log of "request dump",referer is my ip or my other domain, this means that people can access hfs without any limit.

I also input "http://690.myip.org/" or "690.myip.org",but it's useless.

Former beta is ok.

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Re: way to view archive folder
« on: September 15, 2007, 01:57:20 PM »
I am wrong. It's necessary.

when a folder include index.htm file in it and you have set default file mask:index.htm, people can't get into folder. Sometimes you disable "~nodefault" or it'a not known by user.

this is what my friend say, "archive folder should be place outside the folder, so people can download it before o[en the folder." i think she was right.

I think Before people download this folder he shoule get into folder to know what's in it and totle folder size.

So it's unnecessary to add link outside folder.

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Re: Virtual folder haven't "No download"
« on: September 10, 2007, 07:47:33 PM »
ok! I get it.

if a virtual folder "A" have 3 real subfolders x,y,z and virtual folder V. I select A and x and enable "no download", A  and all subbfolder display "download forbidden". if I want to cancle "no download",just select A and x,uncheck  "no download"

Acturally If you want give "no download" to the virtual folder A, just to select A and any real subfolder of A, you will enable "no download" to all real and virtual subfolder of A. Even the "any real subfolder of A" is a subfolder of V,it will be work.

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Virtual folder haven't "No download"
« on: September 10, 2007, 06:34:59 PM »
Real folder have a option "No download" , But I don't konw why Virtual folder haven't  "No download" .

If I want to enable a virtual folder with "no download", I must to get into the virtual folder and check every sub real folder.

So if a virtual folder have many virtual and real subfolder, it may be a hard work.

I have problem only with b131.

the picture show another strangeness. Transfered data is always 524,288 and 1,048,576 and more bigger numbers, all they are divided exactly by 524,288
