Is there a way to sort files by the user who uploaded them ? If not, I think it would be a nice feature.

Yes, but it depends on the template you use, and I doubt many have it.
The template adds a comment with uploads like "USERNAME uploaded"
Then the little known sort function <a href="?sort=c">Comment</a>
is used.
Personally, I find it very useful.

as r][m said, the user is not truly tracked, it's just written in the comment, so you can use the "sort by comment".
Default template doesn't have a link for this sorting, but you can add it.

After posting my question, I realized that there is no user tracking.
I already modified the default template to add the sort=c function, but it has the drawback that if a user modifies the comment of the file, then the file won't be sorted correctly by username.

A user tracking system would be nice, as you could have the option of sorting and filtering files by the user who uploaded them.

Thanks for the replies and please take into consideration this idea of user tracking.

In my template it is in a set order
"USER NAME Uploaded" is always first comment. User comment added to the uploaded
file comes second, so it always sorts by user name in my upload folders.

Please explain how a (remote) user modifies the comment? They can't here.
