It would be nice if a user could hide a folder and disallow browsing on that folder. :)
And only people who knows the full address will be able to access that particular folder. (Only that particular folder and not the whole VFS.)
This might be useful in some cases.
Thanks! :)

 I think it IS a usefull idea, and at the time I needed it - I actually found a way to do it - in HFS , using what's called there - "Filters":
- create any directories you like under X root
- mark X, and then define for it a "directory" or "files" filter named: "no_name"
- the result is - that you cannot see any of the folders (or files) under it, but if you KNOW any of them - you can just enter it in the address and it will go there...  :)

This is exactly the  simple way to do it.  Just one thing - you forgot to enable this feature/menu when you right click on the "root"/home of VFS...  ;) You did not disable the filter there, so it was possible only to use the filter at that level/point ...

I suggest to treat/give the top "root"-"home"-"/"  all the capabilities as if it was a simple folder, including - the abilliy to edit/rename it. You can still display "/" symbol when you browse the VFS if it is "hidden". What do you think ?

The hide option does not hide files inside the folder can people could still browse the directory if they knew the name of the folder.
For example:
1. Share a folder in HFS.
2. Put any files into HFS.
3. Use your browser and goto root/"foldernamehere"
4. Users could see all the files inside that hidden folder.
What I want is to hide all the contents of that folder. :)

it is intentional
it has no sense to hide the root item, because it is not listed anywhere
maybe you did not understand the Hide command, i just described it in the guide

this is intentional too. what's the problem?

i do not understand, what would be the effect of renaming the root folder?

yes, this is how it is meant to be.
This is how i need it to be.
Please check the guide about it.
If you need it, I could introduce a new feature, "Hide tree", that is a recursive hide. But please be sure you need it before asking.

Yes, the "hide tree" feature would be great...
Thanks! :)
Useful in many cases!

The hide option does not hide files inside the folder
But the (reverse) filter option - does hide the content (see my note above)

You are right here. no sense to hide" the "/" sign.

The effect would be - like in any athe folder - to give hte user the flexibilty to show the text he likes. e.e. :   /"My share folders" whould display this at the top of the VFS when you brows. It would just be nicer. the "/" can be mandatory, like to day. "Hide" can apply here to the name except the "/" (just to have similar behavious to other folders).

I think having a option to "hide tree" is better than playing with filters :D
And BTW, if there's a file called no_name in the folder, it will be shown anyways. :P
Thanks NeWayz Rafi! :)

But  No_name in Hebrew transtatoin will not show ...
BTW - doesn't Hide + filter Pretty much emulates the unix mode/chmod  ?

Tree is good, but what about priorities ? upload is more important...
I think we should all quit with features ideas, and just point to bugs untill upload version 2.0 is released...

Yea, maybe :)
But still you got to add features somehow... The problem is: when?
Maybe there will be a beta for 2.0 in late Nov? rejetto?
