Inspiration was from your comment "...like throwback but simpler..." and from NaitLee's white.tpl.

Thanks!!!

Kudos to Mars for the new [max contemp downloads] (hfs > menu > limits > simultaneous downloads) redirection macro scripts; so it is sure to serve up valid files.  The most useful HFS limits setting is:  Max simultaneous downloads from single address.  Try it at 2.

Kudos to NaitLee for the new [not found] redirection macro scripts; so it is sure to serve up valid files (especially, right-click+save-as).

The update was 'under the hood'--it looks the same to users.

not a particular line, because it is modular.
however, find </tr></table>
replace with </tr></table><a href="/~login" style="float:left"><font size=2>&#128100; log-in/out</font></a>

P.S.
you can share your version here too

I like the classic color scheme, like Throwback4.  Instead of "!! Connection Established !!" you could try a purpose declaration, such as "this is a file server" or "files for download" so that users can know how to use the site.  It is good to highlight the file list by making its background different than main background.

If you wanted to streamline/speed one folder (such as a Public/Guest folder or enormous/unorganized folder), you can so easily rename the Stripes template file to hfs.diff.tpl (if your Windows is not set to show .extensions then rename the template to hfs.diff); and then, save it into that particularly needy folder.
This idea works even if the majority of your server didn't use Stripes.

Stripes 4.6
What happened with...
* Stripes4.6c_Black_for_HFS2.3.tpl (14.57 kB - downloaded 232 times.)
* Stripes4.6c_Black_for_HFS2.4RC.tpl (17.13 kB - downloaded 228 times.)

Were they buggy? (why you removed them?)
🤔

What happened with Stripes4.6c_Black
The dark theme was anti-purpose; because Stripes is supposed to be a professional-looking clear clean easy view.
It was also difficult to update 4 separate files.  For more options, on Line 5 is body{background:#E6EBFA where you could edit for any background... brown, purple, khaki, orange, chartreuse, zebra stripes, animated flying hydrants, and so much more.

Thanks for the reminder!  At the next update, I can containerize the menu so that the color theme is easier to modify; and, also at the next update, the icons can be inside the .tpl file; so, instead of &#128193; there is 📁 (8K saved per each 1000 files listed).
