You do it by right clicking your root (/ in VFS, with the Home icon). Right click the home icon and chose Set password. You can further restrict access to resources based on user/pass but without passwording your root, you risk losing that awesome upload speed.. I did and I wish I could go back but I guess I'll just wait until I move.. I cant guarentee that they won't cap it anyway since its against their EULA but they will not know that its a fileserver specifically, so you have a much better chance.

Back to your main topic of not being able to pull the 160 or so you should be getting.. Hmm, it shouldnt matter but have you tryed the Experiemental speed handling via your Other options menu. When I was pulling 160 it wasnt even created yet so I doubt this is the problem, but keep at it, I'm sure rejetto will reply soon.
