How does HFS generate archives?

I really need this feature to add to some of php!  This would be so awesome on apache! ;D ???

you want to make archives in php like HFS currently does ?

Yeah, like what code do you use?  Is it in the template or HFS?

no, the code is in the program/executable file, and is not php but delphi.
but you don't need this, because you will easily find a library to make zip archives (that's better) if you just google for it.
