HFS Crashing a lot

Hey Rejetto man  i need your help i have hfs 2.3 beta version it was working perfect but couple days ago it start freezing and then i have to restart the app to start back in, please help me to fix it its happening a lot now no one is able to get there downloads complete.

You know what i did now, i just install the updated  version and start monitoring and it seems to be good now, let c i will report later

what kind of computer do you have it running on?
is hfs.exe/the computer on all the time?
do you have any antivirus programs installed?
how many users visit your site?
how much ram memory do you have?
maybe you have a overheating problem?

we need more info from you.

1) when you say "freezing", you mean you have to kill it?
2) and when it happens, how is your CPU usage?
3) after how long does it happen after HFS start?
4) does it happen only when there's an heavy load or even with 1-2 users?
5) you may  try backupping your configuration and virtual file system.
Then reset the configuration, and try configurating it just with basic things you need (accounts, etc).
So you may discover if it's one of those other settings you have left out that's causing it.

Hy, Rejetto and crazy.
I am using a dell branded computer just for server its 2.4G dual core with 16 GB rams.
when i say freezing i have to kill the process and then start again,(for that i bought a software name push the freaking button).
cpu usage shows normal when it working but when it freez cpu's start going up 1/1.
sometime it happens after 10 hours some time after 10/20 min and it works sometime with 10 ppl downloading gud sometime only 1 person downloading and it freez.
i dont knw how to get the backup i have almost 300 username passwords how can i get the back up of my users and fix it?
what u think which settings i let out ?
please reply i really need your help at this time bro.

what version of hfs do you use.
you only say 2.3beta

how much memory do hfs use when it freezes?
do you have a antivirus program running.
if so disable it or remove it and see if it works better.

there is also a big difference in using a "normal pc" VS a "real webserver"
a real webserver is probebly 10 times more stable than a normal pc.

1) what you mean by 1/1 ?
2) can you contact that one person freezing your server, to ask what he did, and see if he can reproduce the problem at will ?
3) searching could be the problem. Searching is not indexed in HFS, so it's a very heavy task. Try disabling it in the template (there's an option at the start of the template), and see if the problem disappear.
4) to backup, save your options to file. You'll get an "hfs.ini" file. Backup that and the .vfs file.

Thanks for your reply guys, i get backup and reset all the settings and start monitoring again.
I am still using hfs2.3 beta and with 282 build and i dont have search enabled its already disabled.
am also going to remove the antivirus and report again.

back again, really sorry for bothering you and thanks for your support bro.
so it happens within 24 hrs 3 times and all night there was almost 6 people downloading big files about 1.4GB most of the time and it works great,
but when it freeze there was only 3 guys downloading small files and it freeze i have posted in my local post that if someone is trying to download from server don't use any download manager so lets see what happen again.
and now if there any thing which i do please ?

just thought of one thing.

your harddrives.
what kind of harddrives do you use?
do you have any fan's that cools them down.
you must cool them down.

same goes for the cpu

also you need fan's to get the heat out of the computer
i think something gets overheated for you.
there is programs that check your harddrives temp for you try that.

1-@Rejetto i am using microsoft gadget cpu usage and it shows me 8 diffrent cores which goes up and down, when freeze it goes 1 to 8 1/1 with 99% usage.
2-and how can i ask a person why and how he is freezing pls tell me so i can verify?

1. you mean 99% on a single core, right?
2. when a bug happens, you may sometimes understand how to make it happen. See if you (or your users) find the way to make it happen at will (even if you don't understand the cause of it). That's all.

Yeah bro thats all i understand but there will be some solution to make it happen,
still trying by my side its not happening a lot now but still its happening some time.
i think its the IE9 cozing this issue what u think?
