Big messages (more then 450 chars)

I'm about restriction of the messages' size.

These messages can't be sent by &RQ but some icq-clones tries to send them.
Certainly there is no reliance that big message will be send precisely and correctly.
So maby (if Rejetto and others agree with me) it would be perfect to include the breakdown of the large message on the messages with 450 chars - optionally and at the discretion and adjustments of the user? :lol:

nice idea, hmm if you want to send messages longer than 450char's, you can cut them by yourself, to send them seperatly...but sometimes this disturbes me lol

there's no 450 limit
i don't have sources at hand, but AFAIRemenber there is a ~2000 chars limit for type1 messages and ~6000 for type2.

the type to be used is determined at runtime, it depends on the client on the other hand.

&RQ does not support direct connections ATM.
direct connections would break these limits.
DC means peer-to-peer communication beetwen clients.

Should there be no p2p communication possible (applet client, firewalls etc), I think splitting the message might be needed.
