Hi all,

I have
- a LAN
- 2 PC (IP 192.168.1.100 and 192.168.1.101)
- 2 HFS v. 2.3b (#269 on 100, #272 on 101)
- a dyndns account
- a router with NAT table (port 8080 for 100, 80 for 101)
- a HFS-VFS with 2 real folders with user access set
- Accept connections on: Any address

When, from the 101 machine, I access my 101 server via dyndns domain name, I get the home page. Then I click on Login. The page reload, but I don't get the login dialog.

When I do the same on the 100 machine (access the 100 server from the 100 machine via dyndns domain name:8080), all works correctly.
When, from the 101 machine, I access the 101 server with 127.0.0.1 or with 192.168.1.101, all works correctly.
When, from the 100 machine I access the 101 server via dyndns domain name, all works correctly. The same is with 192.168.1.101

In the 'Accept connections on' list I don't see the dyndns domain name, that is shown in IP address instead)

Any idea?

Piero

another user posted a problem similar to yours.
http://www.rejetto.com/forum/index.php/topic,9953.0.html

after some investigation what we found was that Chrome (the browser) has a bug with frames.
Frames were introduced by the dynamic dns provider he was using.

Anyway this problem was reported only on Chrome. Are you using Chrome or a different browser?
Moreover, frames were introduced only in a specific configuration of the dns. The standard service (IIRC) doesn't.
If your case is the same, then it's not an HFS' fault.

It could be it's not a HFS issue, but I doubt it's the same problem as that you signaled me.

Just for info:
Yes, the browser is Chrome (15.0.874.121 m)
From the same pc, but MSIE (browser on pc 101, server on pc 101) that works (I got the login dialog)

But:
With Object inspector I don't see frames (moreover, in my knoweledge dyndns.com don't have ads or frames)
From another pc (browser chrome v.12.0.742.112 on pc 100, server on pc 101) it works (always dyndns.com)
Updated Chrome on 100. With v15.0.874.121 m (same as 101) from browser on 100 to server on 101 via dyndns, it works
Right-click on Login, then 'Open in another tab' (or window), don't works

Hope that could help improve HFS, a really good software.

Thanks anyway

Piero
