Hi.

Is there a option to change source path of multiple objects in one step ?

In case for example I have 30 source folders on NAS device - and the IP of the NAS and a part of root path changes.

Thank You.

p.s. It takes a hours to change about 30 records of networked folders... And reassign them to new destinations...

Is there no way to have some switch which tells HFS to store vfs in plain text ? For easy editing for example... ?

hi and welcome!
there's nothing ready to use,
but an option for you is to change the folders using script commands.
so you can prepare your script, and decide to run it inside Menu > Debug > Run script
or a different solution.
Your script may even take some inputs somewhere, as parameters of the work is going to do.

Manually it means that you right click and "edit resource" for each folder.
I expect this to be a 20 seconds operation, x30 means 10 minutes.
It's up to you.

There's no option in HFS 2 to have the vfs in plain text, sorry.

HFS 3 (still in alpha, but usable) only uses plain text for all configuration, and doesn't require restart if you edit it while running.

thank You for answer.

on My site, it takes a lot longer - because HFS freezes temporary - it doesn't find the original path ;-) and it takes forever every time I move scrollbar with folder names and so...

I hope new version will be ready asap :-)

- and - it is public available the V3 ? for testing and so one ? Thank You.

this freezing sounds like a slow networked drive/path, is it so?

you can preview version 3 at https://github.com/rejetto/hfs/

if you decided to make some testing feel free to contact me for help privately, as i'm eager to get it working correctly: a@rejetto.com

well, gigabit lan, but perhaps slow windows :) or too long timeouts...

and, as we both (or all people around the world) know, windows is windows... a milion things solved around simple task - connect to some destination... and worst is - when the destination is not there... :D

ok. I will contact You at provided email - not too often, but I hope with relevant "bugs" :)

at first look it looks unfamiliar - but that is only because of total different GUI ;)
