If you want to see it in action on my template, then go to http://84-105-23-97.cable.quicknet.nl/Music/ (for as long as its online)
Excuse me but I have not understood well what should happen.
In practice, acting on the buttons of the reader mp3 I should be able to feel the music, to stop it, to advance of one song and to return back of a song ?
This don't work for me nor in my server nor in your  :'(

I was referring to the request of That_Stevens_Guy, he wanted me to set up a test folder with the flashplayer enabled in it.
Anyway, the flashplayer in my server is working correctly, i still don't know what you are doing wrong XD.

What exactly is not working? Are you able to see the flashplayer at all?
Better yet: If you type ~files.lst right next to your url (E.g. http://exampleaddress/music/~files.lst), then what do you see?

that Jeroen Wijering one looks for a playlist first then reverts back to a single file player, which is useless in my case and a waste of effort on many levels lol

The Flashplayer in my template is not showing up next to each individual mp3 file, instead, there is only one player in the same box where the %folder-comment% of the current folder shows up. So my flashplayer DOES use a playlist wich is automatically created by the "Filelist.tpl".

It doesn't take long to load actually, only 1 or 2 (maybe 4 seconds if you have more than 100 songs in a folder) until its ready to go. And its not consuming a lot of CPU on both server or clientside (Im using an old PIII, 500Mhz as a server).

If you want i can set up a test folder on my server for ya with some music in it. It'll be up in a few moments. (Link <- Online now)

It's possible to have the feature for list folder's files in order by size e/o file creation date ?

Thnx, i think i forgot to implement that ^^, it will be released in the next release.

I am interested in this program for thumbnails, i use reajpg for mine, but i have noticed that after a few files (15 or so) it starts to fail on the file sizes and then i have to go through and compress them myself, icky, *wants to know the plans for this thumbnail program* :)

Hehe :P, well, its a .BAT file actually. A .BAT file that's using an external program to compress them.
The file is almost done (only needs to be tested).
One of the important features is that it is highly adjustable!

Also is there a way for me to test the mp3player on your site and how your using it? cause if you are using it like me and are using a single tiny player/ file. i have been working on a flash one that is now only 1.19kb. i found that the jeorwignenensdwhatever one is a bit bloated for my use.

Unfortunately, i AM using the one from 'Jeroen Wijering'
If you want to see it in action on my template, then go to http://www.fileserver.nl.tp/testmp3player/

italian
filelist.tpl non deve stare nel virtual file system. devi metterlo nella stessa cartella dove tieni hfs.exe
Exactly :D !! (although i dont speak italian, i think you mean that the filelist.tpl doesnt belong in the virtual file system, but where the REAL hfs.exe is located)

when i look at your screenshots, i see the mp3player.swf in the root of your virtual file system aswell. They both arent supposed to be there :P. You see, there is already an mp3player.swf inside the Template folder ;).

And for the filelist.tpl, it belongs in the real folder where your real hfs.exe is located.
For example, if your hfs.exe is located here: D:\FileServer\hfs.exe, then the filelist.tpl should be located here: D:\FileServer\filelist.lst

[edit]

Discovered a minor bug:

- For the IE users, the Server Stats and Status table will look a little weird. (or it could just be me)

In your first post in this thread you mention to go here --> http://www.fileserver.nl.tp/.  Clicked on that link and was presented with the HFS login popup.  Clicked on cancel and was expecting the normal error page for this action but instead got access to your server as a "guest" without logging in. Strange.

Strange indeed.. Doest his occur every time you try to acces my FileServer, or did it occur only once?
Anyway, seems to me that my FileServer is having problems with the accounts, i'll look into it right away.

As usual I've problems with .mp3  :'(

What I've made wrong  ???

Are you certain that you have the "Filelist.tpl" in the same folder as your hfs.exe? Because the Filelist.tpl actually generates the playlist for the mp3 player.

Oh, and also check if you've enabled ~files.lst on your server.

Cant think of anything else.

:) anyway, thanks for your replies

HTML & templates / Re: Top Download tag

Just a note for those who have [file.mp3] [file.jpg] sections etc. and you want the top download tag included in those sections, you would also have to include the script in them.

Sorry, i forgot to mention that  ;)

Those who also have [file.mp3], [file.jpg] or [file.anyextension] configured in their template, should copy and paste the following code right after the %new% tag in those sections.
Code: [Select]
<script language="javascript">var top='%item-dl-count%'; if (top > 25) { document.write ("<span class=flag>&nbsp;TOP DOWNLOAD&nbsp;</span>") }</script>

HTML & templates / Top Download tag
« on: December 30, 2006, 09:51:17 PM »
First of all, i want to say hi, cause im new to this forum  ;)
so here goes:

Hi everyone  :D

The "Top Download Tag"

With a little java script, it's possible to create a TOP DOWNLOAD tag next to your files:

(i used a hit limit of 1 to test my script, but ofcourse this can be changed)

The code to achieve this:
Code: [Select]
<script language="javascript">
<!-- Top Download tag created by Giant Eagle
var top='%item-dl-count%';
if (top > 25)
{
document.write ("<span class=flag>&nbsp;TOP DOWNLOAD&nbsp;</span>")
}
</script>

If you'll use this code, the tag will show up after 25 people have downloaded the file.
So, if you want to change this, simply change 25 to whatever number you want.

If you use the default template, you can use this code to replace the [File] thing in your template:
Code: [Select]
[file]
<tr><td>%new%<script language="javascript">var top='%item-dl-count%'; if (top > 25) { document.write ("<span class=flag>&nbsp;TOP DOWNLOAD&nbsp;</span>") }</script><a href="%item-url%"><img src="/~img_file" /> %item-name%</a>%comment%<td align=right>%item-size%<td align=right>%item-modified%<td align=right>%item-dl-count%

That should do it.. :)

Anyway, sorry for my bad english, cause its not my first language
