Yes, ipv6 FE80::/10 addresses are belong to LAN, not intended for external users.
Also, you can consult the Internet to know if that ipv6 is supported for your ISP. If not, then viewing your HFS server with ipv6 is not possible.

Thanks!

Question: An address  of this kind [fe80::2905:9029:e7c9:f31e] is not intended for external users, or have I configured something wrong? Thank you.

Hello everyone ! In version 2.4.0 RC6, an IP address of the form http://[fe80::2905:9029:e7c9:f31e] is available. When trying to use it to access the server, external users receive a response: "Unable to access the site.". If you use my external address http://188.168.56.22 , the server is available to everyone. Question: An address  of this kind [fe80::2905:9029:e7c9:f31e] is not intended for external users, or have I configured something wrong? Thank you.

Bug reports / Re: HFS is crashing

Main reason for crashes was a TreeView that recreated during monitor disconnects.

Does your computer have a monitor or it's headless?

Bug reports / Re: file-extension-based-content-type ?

This is already built-in :)
In HFS: Enter Expert mode, Menu - Other options - MIME types..., add a row and fill with | *.mp4 | video/mp4 |

Also, I think feature request is not a bug... :D If no child board fits needs, post on general HFS board

oh thanks, found it. and thanks, will do next time. (hope some moderator can move it?)

Bug reports / file-extension-based-content-type ?

(didn't know where to post feature requests, if this is the wrong place, please let me know the correct place)

would be really nice if we could set content-type headers for file extensions somewhere,

very specifically, i want .mp4 files to be served with the header
Content-Type: video/mp4
not
Content-Type: application/octet-stream

this would allow me to stream mp4 files directly in my web browser, instead of having browsers download the video.

I am using v 2.4 RC7 on Windows 19 20h2. With no reason the HFS crashes by itself. Looks like it is on every 5 minutes. I checked the Event Viewer - nothing there.
Please help!

Bug reports / HFS is crashing

I have issue with HSF. It crashes very often. Like in 5 minutes. I looked at Event Viewer - nothing related there.
I am using version 2.4.0 RC6 on Windows 10 20H2. I have the same version on another PC an it works fine with no any problems.

Please help me to solve the issue.

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Re: about freedns?
« Last post by sdyxz on June 19, 2021, 09:56:43 PM »
I can tell you about the situation in my country. Perhaps this will help. We have all addresses of this kind:
192.168.xxx.xxx
172.16.xxx.xxx
10.xxx.xxx.xxx
127.xxx.xxx.xxx
169.254.xxx.xxx
behind the provider's router. They cannot be accessed from the external internet network. Services like freedns or noIP no longer help. We buy a permanent IP address from a provider, now this is the only way out.

Thanks!
This is probably what happened.
