i was doing a local download test for testing purposes but it makes the ui non responsive.

Have you tried using Firefox? Without giving more details, is impossible to help you. Please describe (as much as possible) how to recreate this issue.

issue happen when using firefox as well, what other info do u need that i can provide?

configure hfs to listen on all addresses

from internet use external ip,...
from the local network use the network ip of the computer hosting hfs,....
from the computer where hfs is running, use the address 127.0.0.1,....

..... as a url in the browser

i did that but issues still happening, what am not sure if this is working as design or if it a bug.

Are you using the default template or a customized one?. I'm afraid we can't help you anymore if you don't describe better how to reproduce this issue. Imagine this situation: you go to the doctor and only say: "I feel bad", the doctor says "What you have eaten", and you as patient keep repeating "I don't feel well"...  ::) sorry for this example (I don't want to sound rude), but we need much more details to try to help you (like the exact version of your browser, operating system, RAM memory, etc), and the exact steps to reproduce the issue. You could also follow the steps described on this post, here.
