HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Download limits
« on: November 30, 2011, 09:05:35 AM »
Just wondering if someone has some code that would limit the number of downloads users can have in ...say a 24hr period? I am having issues with people "camping" on my site and taking up the available download slots I have allocated. They just download one after another. Thanks again for a kik-ass server!

Just thought others may like this on their site if they are running a media server like me.

Running RAWR template and I put it right above the shout box

Beta / folder archives

General question:

I am using RAWR template and with that tpl, you can download the entire contents of a folder/drive and sometimes that can be HUGE. Is there a way to limit the size of a download? It is convenient to use that function (ie. music albums, seasons of shows..etc.) and I do not really want to get rid of that function. thx..

Beta / Out of Memory
« on: October 17, 2011, 04:00:38 AM »
Hi All,

I am using the 275 build to run a media server. After a fresh new install of Windows 7 Ultimate, 8GB RAM, HFS 2.3 #275, and 48hrs of running I received the error " Out of Memory". I have had 200,000 Total Hits, 1800 downloads, and 800GB out. Is it just too busy? Is there a way to increase the memory used?

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Downloading speed on 2.2f
« on: September 12, 2011, 05:04:59 PM »
Hi..I recently had to downgrade from 2.3 build 279 to 2.2f build 155 for its stability. I am hosting a site for over 100 Army soldiers in Afghanistan and it stays super busy. 2.3 279 was freezing up my computer a lot so I went back with 2.2f. Its plain but stable. One complaint is that my users were getting real fast downloads (100mbps on LAN) using 2.3 279 but once I downgraded to 2.2f, my users are only pulling ~700kbps. Does anyone know why? thx guys
