Maybe you shouldn't be using the demo but trying to integrate it via the instructions instead?
I don't see how it could work though. It includes PHP, which isn't compatible with HFS.
Renaming it to .html isn't going to help matters I don't think. If it could work with just an HTML file, don't you think they would have done that? It's much easier to code using HTML/Javascript than PHP.

There are tons of flash uploaders up there. If HFS could just make use of PHP we'd be all set. 
So what would this flash uploader need to be programmed in? Just javascript and maybe some macros or something? I dont' see that happening.

I haven't been able to find any sort of uploader so far that doesn't require PHP or another type of scripting that HFS simply doesn't have.
I remember looking at swfupload before and I abandoned it for some reason. I think it was because it required MySQL or something. But don't give up hope. I might be mistaken.
And I'm glad that rawr-designs is looking at external sources for some of it's features. Instead of looking at using external sources as a "missed" opportunity to learn something, think of it as an opportunity not only to learn something but to IMPROVE upon the best feature you've been able to find online. Now you can temporarily use this external flash uploader while studying the technology and eventually improving upon it. I personally can't think of anything better.
Although I admire your sense of duty with trying to keep everything 100% only done by you, what you're doing isn't very realistic. You've done a great job, but insisting on this exclusively "your own" code thing is holding you guys back. It's like when you want to write a program like Photoshop. The task alone is enormous, but then you say that you're going to create a new programming language to write it in too. While you may be able to make a new (and improved) programming langauge, looking back at the old language and seeing what has been done will help you in your task. Looking at Photoshop's code will help you too. If you don't learn from the experiences of others you'll never grow. The world isn't as simple as it was before. Everything is a group and community project nowadays. And now it's even spanning generations. We have to start thinking differently if we want to keep this exponential growth in progress going.

I tried that but the server doesn't work at all then when I try to go to my domain. I've tried removing the port from the url forwarding and putting it back. Same result.

Actually the "admin panel" as you call it is coded entirely in CSS. It has an HTC file link on it. I have no clue what an HTC file is, but it seems to work properly in all browsers. You can go ahead and download my new template if you want. To be honest, it's not coded to be an admin panel at the moment. I have over 100 members on my server and they all want features and abilities. Of course all you'd have to do is change the "if user=admin" instead of "if can delete" if you wanted to treat it like an admin panel.

When I copy the link it copies the address with the IP and port. I simply manually replace the IP and port with my DNS domain name and it works.....providing there are no spaces in the file/folder names. If there are spaces I get an error, but if I don't put in my DNS domain name (meaning I just leave my IP and port in the beginning), it works fine with spaces.

AWK! I swear to god I had it in that archive. But ah well. You know what it's like when you're coding. Stuff gets a little f***** up sometimes.

The buttons are hosted on my photobucket, but I included them just in case. In order to get this template to work, you must first download the full template from www.rawr-designs.com

I was going to wait till I added some more features before I released this, but I have some other things to do right now and I can't mess with this again for awhile. This is my customized version of the Live 3 template. It includes the ability to delete files/folders, rename files/folders, create new folders, and allows members to change their passwords. Here is a snapshot and download link:

I've already remade the template to include delete, rename, change user password, and new folder creation. It looks pretty sweet. I'll have to do some more testing to make sure it's stable, then I'll upload a copy here.
Next thing I have to do is try to change the view types (thumbnail, list, etc.). That's gonna be a tough one. I have no idea how to get started. Geeze this is a great template. And so lite too! It's about 1/4 the code of my customized RAWR template WITH the extra features!
One question though....what font did you use for the title logo? I really like it.

I already have dynamic DNS service. The problem is when I go through my domain name and try to load a file that has spaces in the name, I get a server error. It doesn't do that when I just use the IP address and port but when I do it through the DNS service it will give me an error.

Sounds good. I've already come to the conclusion that I'll have to add all the neat features I want myself until RAWR-X comes out. I might actually create individual delete buttons for each file, but I don't know what I can do until I see the actual code itself. I'm still eagerly awaiting it's release. I'm sick of RAWR. It looks.....old sorry to say. It matches Windows XP perfectly, but with the cool interfaces of Windows Vista and Windows 7, it just looks old and dry. I can't wait to take Live 3 apart. I'll figure something out to get the features I need on it.

This template is going to be nothing but bare bone basics. We'll have to add everything to it including the delete feature, rename feature, new folder creation feature, and I'm also going to work on a "view type" feature. I might even try to make a dynamic slider like Windows Vista has for resizing the icons and thumbnails on a certain page. Of course that's gonna take a really good icon set in .png format so it'll take a lot of bandwidth. If I'm dumping RAWR for this it's gonna have to be good so I'm going to be spending a lot of time customizing this kickin' template. 
But I do agree with TSG about the check boxes. They don't belong on this template or the RAWR template. That's why I'm using a textbox for each function. To impliment the delete, rename, and new folder function I'll be using text boxes. I might be able to make them look decent on the actual Live template itself, but I don't think so. I'm going to use a dynamic page tabbing system coded in straight CSS so just a button will be on the actual page. Then when the user hovers over the "delete" button, a small window will drop down and ask them to type in the file/folder name that they want to delete. It may not be perfect, but it's the best I can do.
These functions such as delete are very useful and shouldn't just be in an admin panel. If your friends are uploading files to your server, the should be able to have total control over their files. If they don't, then what's the point in doing it?
