Title: System Test
Post by: Jan-H on July 26, 2006, 02:21:15 PM
When I do the self test I always get the message that I am Behind a Fire-wall, I have only the windows fire-wall and I am working with XP-Home. and I gave permission to the firewall for HFS.
What can I do to get it working?
I use my external IP-adres to do the test and I added 1 map tp look into it.

I am not sure since I am really new at this if I can help you or not. Here is what I had to do and see if you can get anything useful from it.

My ip blocks port 80, so I setup a redirect with no-ip.com. Since I am on a lan behind a router I had to go into my router and setup a virtual server, then I had to go to my computer firewall (Zone Alarm) and setup the host/site and add it to the trusted zone then set up HFS. It took me a little over 2 hours to get my settings right and everything working. I have been messing around with this crap on and off for about 4 months and I just succeeded in this last attempt, so over all I guess you could say 4 months and 2 hours.  8O

in LAN you have to use the internal address (192.168.1.2)
