HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Spammed "Requested HEAD /"
« on: October 22, 2011, 02:17:26 PM »
Recently I've been getting a lot of Requested HEAD spam in my log file from various IP addresses.
Other then banning, is there anything I can do to curtail this from happening?

RAWR-Designs / TPGen v3.0.3
« on: November 14, 2010, 11:50:08 PM »
I upgraded to the latest TPGen and have just one issue.

When looking at my images through the browser, the thumbnails don't show the actual pictures anymore.

This is what they all show now:

Any idea what may have changed, or if I'm missing a setting?

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Own IP pings HFS every 5 minutes?
« on: July 29, 2010, 02:30:17 PM »
I noticed an issue that cropped up yesterday sometime. Every 5 minutes on the dot I get a "Requested GET/" from my own internal IP. It's really driving me nuts trying to figure out whats causing this.

I know its a long shot, but any ideas on how to trace this and see whats causing this?

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Possible to add for logs?
« on: February 26, 2010, 04:32:30 PM »
Something I would like to see, if possible, is to highlight certain portions of the log to make them stick out more.

For example:
Highlight the word "Fully Uploaded", "Fully Downloaded", etc.

This is to make it easier to skim through the log vs analyzing every line.

RAWR-Designs / Can't delete when using Diff Template

I can delete files just fine in folders that I don't have anything in for Diff Template.

However in folders where I have this in:

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Maybe a complicated question
« on: August 28, 2009, 04:53:27 AM »
Ill try to explain this the best I can  :-X

Currently I'm running 2 instances of HFS. Port 80 and 443 (HTTPS)
I have these set up with to give it a real name.

I recently bought a domain name (2 actually) with  With this domain I set up google apps email ( I want to create a front page for and host it on another web server on my own machine.

Problem I'm running into is that with godaddy I can add a HostA record to my IP (not sure how to keep it updated automatically when my personal IP changes) but its on port 80. I want to forward it to 8080 so it doesn't conflict with HFS. Is there a way to do this?
How about if in I do a port 80 redirect for HFS to 8080 and let my godaddy domain go to port 80?

Hope this makes sense, I've confused myself on how to go about this.  ???

Beta / problem with the admin panel
« on: May 04, 2009, 02:54:40 AM »
Probably not the right place for it, not sure though.

I have the RAWR template and also the admin panel to add/create and delete folders.
When creating folders it adds the folder on the HDD, but it doesn't add it as a folder in HFS's panel. Is it possible when creating a new folder via the browser that the folder inherits that users permission's (and/or dupes flags, etc) so that other users can't see it when they log in.
Otherwise I have to go into HFS, add the real folder and set up all the permissions.

RAWR-Designs / RAWR Player and SSL
« on: April 09, 2009, 07:20:49 PM »
I have no idea why this just dawned on me now since its been set up for a couple months now.

Noticed that the Player won't work with SSL. The player pops up, but never plays. Is there a way to get this to work or is this not possible with SSL?

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / This file Conatins macros message
« on: March 31, 2009, 02:44:46 AM »
I run 2 HFS server and they both have the RAWR Template.
I have them set to start with windows. However one always comes up with the message:

HFS 2.3 beta (229) -- Loading VFS
!!!!!!!!! DANGER !!!!!!!!!This file contains macros.Don't accept macros from people you don't trust.Trust this file?
Yes   No

The other one doesn't. I've looked up and down to see what setting I've missed. Can anyone point me to the right direction so I can turn this message off?

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Lock user in a folder
« on: March 11, 2009, 04:44:20 PM »
I'll try to explain this as easily as I can.

I host images on my server, you can link directly to the picture but a random person can't browse the folder to see the other pictures.
Now using the create folder that I added to the RAWR template I created a "BBQ" folder (the folder does not show in HFS fyi). I placed some pics in this folder.

Now I wanted some people to view the entire contents of this folder, BUT i dont want them to be able to hit back and see my root folder (in HFS its set up as Image Hosting-->DNic, i want them to stay in the BBQ folder thats in the DNic folder). What I did was create a new user that when a person logs in takes them directly to the BBQ folder, however hitting back lets them access the DNic folder.

Is this possible?

RAWR-Designs / Folder Creation on RAWR Templ.
« on: February 19, 2009, 03:13:46 PM »
I've been trying to figure out where to enter this code.

Code: [Select]
<form method='get'>
{.if|{.get|can upload.}|
Folder name: <input  type='text' name='fldname'
maxlength="25" size="25" >
<input  type='submit' name='createfolder' value='Create
Folder' >

Code: [Select]
{.if|{.and| {.get|can upload.} | {.urlvar|createfolder.} .}|{:

I added the second part to the end of the template, but I'm not sure where exactly to place the first part.  I put it in the foleder section and when I refresh the template everything has LV_ in front of it. I can create a folder this way, but obviously I'm not putting it in the right section.  Thanks

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Using HFS to keep DB from KeePass synced
« on: February 04, 2009, 11:28:12 PM »
I was thinking the feature in KeePass may not be working, but I thought I double check here as well.

I use KeePass across multiple computers so I keep the DataBase on my server that only I can access via login. Keepass supports retrieving from URL with Username/pass and it also allows to save the DB to URL via the same method.

Currently I get errors trying to save to my server through KeePass.

The new file's content does not match the data that KeePass has written, i.e. writing to the file has failed and it might be corrupted now.
Please try saving again, and if that fails, save the database to a different location.

Is this because you would need to hit upload files to be able to save/upload a new DB? And if so is there way to circumvent this?

RAWR-Designs / Thumbnail Generator Question
« on: January 08, 2009, 07:45:51 PM »
Works great like expected. However the save settings option has always been greyed out. It would save some time if I could save my settings. Any ideas why its greyed out?

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Possible to add file details?
« on: January 03, 2009, 02:53:43 AM »
I was wondering if its possible to add details to files on your server for other people to see?

So if I have a file named, for example, WinZip I can have something underneath it that says An archive utility.
This way people that aren't technical can know what it is.

RAWR-Designs / Progress Bar
« on: December 11, 2008, 11:12:02 PM »
Any chance there will be a progress bar added to the RAWR Template?

I just realized other users are staring at the screen wondering if anything is uploading.
