that you didn't miss my feature request for user online event :)
when person comes online.. display (well optionally) the ip and icq client he uses in the history field.. also log this (which I realize is going to screw up the log format, but I'm sure you could think of some smart way to extend it)
example:
2003-07-21 13:22:03, objetto is online (&RQ 0.9.4.16, IP:X.X.X.X) [status icon]
well.. only show ip if known :)

hm... Is it really nesessary?...
-
off course it is :) so you can keep track of your contacts' behavior! :)

I might want to lookup what ip and client a contact has used over the last year.

m.... now I really had inderstood 8)))) no cooments to this feature.... it's cool

Yes, it's really nesessary!
Cause you can view when user was online(not only from the user's details) and when he went offline (ip... etc. in addition).
alkimiya is a genius! ;)

you already can save online/offline events on log
the ip/client feature is in to-do list

example:
2003-07-21 13:22:03, objetto is online (&RQ 0.9.4.16, IP:X.X.X.X) [status icon]
It would be great to include day of the week in log... i think so... :#)

I think that the best way to do it is: in preferences, I can configure history log format with %{code}, so everyone can configure it with the own best format.
Example: I'm busy with Day of Week, but if I can deconfigure it, it's all ok!
Another Example: my best date format is: yyyymmdd without separator... if I can configure it, I'm happy!
Draft for the configurable codes:
- date (in more than one format) (fields: dayOfWeek, dayOfMonth, numericMonth, descriptiveMonth, Year 2 or 4 digit)
- time (in more than one format) (fields: minutes, hour, seconds)
- Protocol/client
- ip/resolved ip
- status
- icons
- nick
and so on
bye, TC
