HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Re: Need macro help
« on: November 17, 2009, 06:28:05 PM »
The above works fine if the links are located within the filelist.

Any ideas how to get the same results when an external link is located outside the filelist but still within the webpage in other locations?

Bacter you're the man!  I knew you could do it.  Much better.  ;D

- I added <a  target="_blank" href="/~extlink? ....
- I removed {.add to log|%date% %time% %ip% %user% ... as that info was already in the log for that line
- I removed <a href="/~extlink?sname .... </a--> as I think it is a typo and not necessary

I tried 4 different links.  3 worked and 1 didn't.  The page kept refreshing itself but never loaded.  Don't know why?  Maybe you can notice something.  Here's the info.

- Link name - Wiki - Rejetto's Full Help Guide
- Link - http://www.rejetto.com/wiki/index.php/Main_Page
- After the template with the new additions to it is loaded, the above link changes to the following, and the page keeps refreshing itself but doesn't load ...

http://127.0.0.1/~extlink?sname=Wiki%20-%20Rejetto's%20Full%20Help%20Guide&site=http://www.rejetto.com/wiki/index.php/Main_Page

Edit - I found the problem with that link.  It doesn't like the apostrophe in Rejetto's.  Removed it an all is fine.   ;D ;D

Thanks bacter.   :)

I tried it with Opera and it works as you indicated.  Here is an example of the log results received ...

04:48:12 AM Guest@127.0.0.1:1948 Fully downloaded - 799 B @ 26 KB/s - /dummy.jpg?s=http://www.rejetto.com/hfs/?f=dl

However in this example, if I didn't know what that url is actually for, that log entry with the urlvar info doesn't help me.  The link name for this example is "Get Latest Stable HFS Direct From Author" and my goal was to try and get this info into the log.

Also, if at all possible I didn't want to use javascript and thought it could be done with a macro.

Maybe what I am trying to do is impossible.   ???

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Need macro help
« on: November 17, 2009, 02:31:52 AM »
I have some external links at my site.  The problem I'm having is that when a user activates a link, the log doesn't log this activity and therefore I don't know if the links are being used.  I have not been successful in creating a macro that works for me.

What I would like to see in the log is an entry when a external link is activated with the name of the link used.

A perfect spot for this would be in hfs.events.

Can anyone help me out with this request?

router & port problems / Re: HFS not compatible with IIS?
« on: October 30, 2009, 06:49:51 PM »
I don't use IIS so my reply to you is limited.  There shouldn't be a compatibility issue as others here have used them together.  A quick search led me to the following post which might solve your problem.

HTML & templates / Re: Upload progress bar?
« on: October 29, 2009, 02:51:04 PM »
It can be done using html - see attachment - (no macros, javascript, or flash needed).  I haven't looked at the TSG templates or the coding used in those templates.

Try Firefox, Opera, or a download manager.

You are experiencing the size limitation of the browser you are using.

Anytime I browse to a virtual folder, or home, it shows 0B, once I browse into a real folder, it shows 819GB.  Any idea how I can get it to show all the time?

I'm not sure I totally understand what you are asking.  If you are asking how to show the amount of free disk space there is in a virtual folder there is no answer.  A virtual folder is virtual.  %diskfree% is for real folders located on your harddrive.

You would put the %diskfree% symbol in the [file] section of the template.

Just tested IDM and DAP.  Resume with HFS works with both.

Here's help to get you going...
http://www.rejetto.com/wiki/index.php/Main_Page

If you want to use macros and have access to all the new features, I would suggest using the latest beta -> http://www.dovedove.it/hfs/hfs246.exe

87
What version of HFS are you using.  If it is v2.2f, try the latest beta -> http://www.dovedove.it/hfs/hfs246.exe

88
Would it be possible in the near future to set an upload location for a virtual folder?

As it is now, the short answer is no.  Uploads go only to real folders.  A real folder is a link to a folder on your harddisk and shows the current (real-time) content of the folder on your disk. Its behavior is very near to what you usually find in FTP server software.

HTML & templates / Re: Virtual File Sys Keeps Deleting Itself??
« on: September 20, 2009, 04:43:50 PM »

1. Menu -> Save file system.
2. Menu -> Start/Exit -> Reload on startup VFS file previously open
3. Menu -> Start/Exit -> Autosave VFS on exit
4. Menu -> Save Options -> Autosave options on exit

Check your settings for above.  It is good practice to always make a backup of your most recent *.vfs, hfs.ini, and *.tpl files.

i use 2.2f build 155

Those features aren't supported in that version of HFS.  Get yourself the latest beta 2.3 build 246 from the beta forum.
