Dynamic IP of Uploaders

Hello,

I am having a problem that appears to be unique in that no-one has posted on it. I've sifted through the forum for about 3 hours now and haven't found a solution to this issue. So, here goes:

I have set up a DNS server through DynDNS.com
bolak.homeip.net if you're interested, though I have put up password protection and do not allow anyone on without creating a name and password for them.

Anyway, my friend is on a cable modem and his IP address is dynamic. It would appear that it keeps changing very frequently but only with minor changes:
205.185.264.116
and the last three numbers keep changing.
Occasionally, (every 20-60 minutes) the whole thing changes
I believe this to be the cause of why he can't even get an upload to last for more than 1 minute at best. The file sizes range from 1 Mb to 15 Gb and the smallest of them only get through because they're able to upload before the IP changes again (or so I believe).
Help me out here, please!

For your friends IP to change they would lose all internet connectivity.

Do they lose all internet access? if not then something else is preventing the upload from succeeding, if they do then something is seriously wrong and they should contact their isp about the issue.

well, here is a copy of the IP changes
Notice how Derek has a constant IP, yet Ryan's changes almost everytime he connects to a different part of my files on the server.
And not all people have static IP addresses. My DSL has a setting that allows me to set how often the IP renews itself, hence why people set up the HFS program to use DynDNS or no-IP, etc. to have their IP address automatically forwarded to a known web address... THAT WAY they don't have to keep giving out the new IP address everytime it updates. For example, I have mine set up to update only every 99 days (or everytime I have to reconnect to the internet for whatever reason) so if I stay connected without interruption from power failure etc. It will remain the same for 99 days straight.
He doesn't know how to change that setting using his cable modem, so he's going to try to call customer service.
Anyway, so... I'm looking for a way to work around the fact that his IP address is CONSTANTLY changing (so annoying, I swear) Anyone have any thoughts?

One other thing to note: If any of you have ever noticed when people are just sitting at a page open on the HFS, looking it over, it will show their connection and say "idle" under status.  His IP is... spotty. It will show for a brief second, then disappear. THEN appear several times with different IP addresses when clicking on another link on the HFS.  Just further evidence to support my theory.

This would be very characteristic of a page put in cache by google or another search engine, and which would have been used by a person third as if it was about a hacking

I don't believe he's using a proxy server. He uses Comcast as his ISP, a modem, and a wireless router. I've suggested he contact Comcast to have them tell him how to change the renew-rate on his IP address, or to ask for a static one.

To the next comment, no, it is not spam or some hacker using Google cache or something else.

The IP addresses in the log comes up all of AOL proxies.
