Hey! :-)
As I started to use &RQ for real, I was wondering, why the "*" (--> Asteriks) disappear in the message! For example:
"Hey you! *g*"
becomes to (after sending)
"Hey you! g "
Could I get office/help? THX

Could you also tell me the sense of this function?
Because if it's activated, only the asteriks disappear when they are between two or more letters or two or more numbers but not betwen one or more signs like the colon [ : ]. Besides if I write "*g*" it becomes to "g" but if i write "*g" it still is "*g" after sending..
Just a question of interesting.

it is a way to express bold
i did not invent it, it was used on fidonet
of course you won't see any bold if the font you are using is already used as bold
the same feature is available with underscore (_) and you get underlining
