Flash Player?
« on: May 30, 2009, 04:08:08 PM »
Question how can i keep player from moving on the page? When playing mp3 it goes down the page. I would like it to stay stationary.

Unfortunately..

RAWR-Player itself does not support a playlist. For this reason we made it so that after each file the current preview box gets closed and the a new box containing the next song gets opened.

Tricking the box by, after song 1 has finished, changing the contents so that the flash player gets respawned with song 2 will not work. As soon as the second song finishes, it will reopen the second song because the script thinks the first song just finished (because of its position) and in turn replays the file.

In short: untill the rawr-player supports a playlist, it cannot be done the easy way.

There is probably another way to achieve it. The player would open and close, but at a fixed position in the browser. It would then require another script to stay at a fixed position when scrolling. Either way its not easy. Nothing is until you know how to do it. There is no quick solution to this anyway. We are working on a new preview box which is not built like the current one. It will require a rawr-player with a playlist to work ideally. But we don't want to add anymore to the player once it is working, until we re-write it in ActionScript3 which will take some time anyway.
