Hi Mick Mickle!

I can not give you a complete answer immediately, you should first to test (in SSL mode) the last official hfs beta to confirm whether the problem is the same or not.

- Save your current options in a file (Main menu> Save Options> To file).

- Keep a copy of your hfs.ini in a safe place.
- Starts the latest beta version (HFS 2.3 #282) instead of my version (using the same hfs.ini file).

http://www.dovedove.it/hfs/hfs282.exe

Did some tests and let me know...

Omg! Thank you! This is brilliant! Although, I'm not quite sure if redirection after login works or if I set it up correctly. Thank you! Now all I need is to make this run as a service. I think I'm gonna stick with ledufe's way.

It would be nice if we could set it to accept https connection only though. And discard http or redirect it to https.

Edit: After some reading in the forum, I can conclude redirection after login if not by clicking login does not work.

Oh well, I am more than happy for now.

Best regards to you all! ^_^

hfs 285a SSL FR is online.

News:

Stunnel 4.56
-  Menu HTML Templates -> Extract filelist.tpl (in language choosen by you for HFS).
-  (Stunnel config) FIPS option is now compliant with a Passphrase. It was a Stunnel bug.

For users of a previous version, update Stunnel with the "S" button, not to crush your stunnel.conf and your SSL certificate.

looks new and inventive, appreciate the work you have done on it. i'm testing it on windows 7 x86 professional...

upon first launching it (as i have stunnel already on and working, it auto loaded to the stunnel and hfs config.

This hfs is no where near the same instal path of my other hfs builds......

Looking forward into your ssl embedded with hfs.

Thank you for your time and patience...

I do the setup  like in a picture in beginning.....but stunnel didn't start. I had to unchecked FIPS (the error was unsupported platform - i use win xp sp3) and everything was ok.

Also I have to change stunnel connection port address from 0.0.0.0 to my local ip 192.168.0.3, with 0.0.0.0 didn't work. I founded why :) the listening port of the HFS and the port of stunnel was the same.  Update:I have changed "HFS listening port"  (there was a realm - never to be opened from internet -why?) and  0.0.0.0 on stunnel connection port  start working.

When i have loaded .vfs file from  previous version 279 there isn't any user pass of folders. I have to add every single user's permissions for separated folders. In beginning i used hfs.ini from version 279.

Also i can't upload new icons from Add icons... menu and some of existing icons are damaged (look all black - maybe  because some of application aren't installed anymore?). I manage to add icons by drag and drop  application to HFS and then  i removed it. Does anyone have the same problem?

But https is great:)

Because it's stunnel which made ssl proxy between the internet and hfs ... hfs receives and transmits (locally) data via stunnel which is responsible for encoding and decoding ssl for hfs.
HFS is not in direct contact over the internet with an ssl configuration.

I do not know why ... it looks like a hfs configuration (.ini file, .vfs ??) damaged or too older.
