FHFS / Re: FHFS having issues with special characters in file names
« on: April 13, 2014, 02:20:20 AM »
i don't use FHFS, but if you need a quick and easy way to rename files, here is a free open source program that can help
Thanks for sharing that, but ReNamer is not Open Source, it's freeware at least (in his Lite edition, but it's normally a paid application). Thanks anyway.....

FHFS / Re: Expiration date for download links possible?
« on: April 13, 2014, 02:08:21 AM »
I figured that would be the answer and I could change the shared ID or rename them manually, I was just hoping for one less thing for my thinly stretched brain to remember to do.
...but what happens if someone is still downloading the file, and you change the "Shared ID"?... Will be able to finish the download?

Programmers corner / Re: Source Code: HFS v2.3a Build#289 Stable
« on: April 13, 2014, 01:48:51 AM »
Since I didn't get any reply, does someone knows if there are any difference between Builds #288 and #289?...

I think this is important, since we are talking about an 'Stable' release, not a Beta version! (for example: if someone want's to translate HFS, it should start using an Stable build).

Maybe is as simple as configuring your Windows Firewall, to allow HFS go through. If you've followed all the other tips, and it's still not working, maybe you have to configure your Windows Firewall.

Do you use Windows XP or 7?....

FHFS / Re: FHFS as http file server
« on: April 08, 2014, 04:54:32 AM »
I think you are mixing things up. FHFS is an FTP and HTTP server, all in one. So it gives you 2 different protocols, and 2 different ways to upload files: through FTP and HTTP. To upload via FTP you need a FTP Client software, and via HTTP you can use any web browser.

I don't get what you mean "like an FTP server" (FHFS is a FTP server!)

Beta / Re: Testing build #286

this is a very well-known problem.
http://www.rejetto.com/forum/bug-reports/please-do-unicode/

HFS is open source. Is no one going to work on a unicode version? :p

when i have the time (and i rarely have) i work on HFS3, and it already has unicode. But it's not ready and it's very very different from HFS 2.

Just wondering if the "Delphi Gems Unicode library" would help to add Unicode support to HFS v2.x (instead of have to rewrite the whole code in HFS3). It's free and open source too.

Code: [Select]

If you want to ban and block a whole country, the best way to achieve this is using PeerBlock. The program is open source, and you can add a list of the country you want to ban.

PeerBlock:

Lists of IP Ranges by Country:

Programmers corner / Source Code: HFS v2.3a Build#289 Stable
« on: April 06, 2014, 06:20:28 AM »
Hi!, I was trying to download the sources of the last stable version from:

Code: [Select]
http://downloads.sourceforge.net/hfs/hfs2.3a_289.src.zip
...but there isn't such a file hosted on SourceForge.net and neither on any Rejetto's hosts. What is the correct link to download the latest stable source code?... ???

Ciao, stavo cercando di scaricare i sorgenti dell'ultima versione stabile da:

http://downloads.sourceforge.net/hfs/hfs2.3a_289.src.zip

...ma non c'è un file ospitato su SourceForge.net e né su web da rejetto. Qual è il link corretto per scaricare l'ultima versione del codice sorgente stabile?... Grazie! :)
