HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Re: Rejetto HFS file server alternative

Does any one know if there is any alternative to acheive publishing with out having Publishing server. Please let me know if any one have implemented publishing without having publishing server.

Any ideas?

Dependant on your definition of publishing and not have owner ship of a server. Google sites/docs was this.

Now it the drove for files and Weebly/webs

Bit that's just hosting on others server...

the last i checked it was only using 1 core. while it does have code to support 2 cores. HFS i have found is more ram resource intensive than CPU intensive.

sometimes you may have to tell task manger to use more than 1 core:

set priority and affinity setting of the task...

i've alwasy found processor hacker a beter tool than widnwos built in task manger:

Probably a macro manpulatuon

time | A
returns current time information. The format is specified by optional parameter A. Refer to this page for format syntax. If A is not supplied, value "c" will be used.
Optional parameter when to specify a time other than current.
Optional parameter offset to specify the number of days differing from the current time

%time% which give us the full extent time day etc

Or mby pull from the client not the server
And do a reverse feed script to output the current date in the format you want.

Input Type Date
The <input type="date"> is used for input fields that should contain a date.

Depending on browser support, a date picker can show up in the input field.

After downloading a fresh download/install and having them re- analyse the program again, i can confirm your results a 20/60 AV detection...

BUT! ... there is still no issues, nor anythign wrong with this program. these are False postive detections from the antivirus programs ... As the "AV" also looks at outgoing traffic.

most Popoular AV either detect them and report them as "pups" potenail unwanted programs
or as what it is
a http web server.

the only thing i can do is re file reports like when i did for windows defender to stop some deletion and other, as this is a open source program and it code is public...

there are also some newer "AV" about of there test that are for android phone most of them are what caused it to drop in score and don't have a very good rep(from what i can tell) on there definition yet.

there was a jump between the ajax and jqurey security update and code changeover that started detection due to a self zip/executable(where hfs holds the offline version for lan use of jqurey) with in the program (something got bigger and alot of "AV" started to flag it due to a size in file change...

*IF you want them to go down them file reports linking to the source code, this forum and the download link.

Macfee changed there report stuff, i've filed reports with success at "lowering the threat level" (detected as pups or the win32 - http web services)

theirs nothing more i can do to "lower a 3rd party site annalists of the program. that up to the people who use them and to what extent they are being used.

NOW then onto Https -- hfs is using http protcal to do ftp transaction (alot more going on but that is the short term) if you want https you wil have to use another program.
*search the forum.. look into stunnel.

Windows service iis:

And appache
(See lamp (linux/appache/MySQL/php)/ camp /server 2 go...)

And ninx.

--all required php and other web html coding to do what hfs does for file upload.(or some form of ftp)

Azure just a remote (rdp) web hosted PC...

1-2 gb to get the windows open off the ground.
1-2 gb for hfs alone(this doesn't include multiple connections from 4+ PC, general lan use.

chrome can take 512mb-2gb ram
Instant messenger at Mon is 640-1gb
All dependant on what your doing and how your PC handles the resources. I've seen hfs with my max bandwith and a totlat of 100+ connection hot 8 gb. That just a baseline.

The point I'm making is your running a literal server, serves require resource, when you take from that resouce they don't act right.

A Mon for your PC these day should be 8gb (as most software developer and antivirus/office application no longer care about the min or max resource. And I can almost guarantee if you were to run all the app you'd run out of the resources.

You can cheat for speed with the page file(use your hd for ram)...

But physical ram is better. Also if your hitting 50% anything your PC at it maximum load, anything else and things starting fighting for resource.

Sounds like a resource management problem on your end. Hfs required a lot of ram. Instant messenger is also high resource intensive. It not a surprise to see hfs slow down based on what your doing along side hfs...

I can come up with a few things for this.

Open a protected resoce vitural folder that runs the separate program (such as peer guardian or peer blocker)

One macro .exec cmd batch (closes app / pipeline write/ relaunch app)...

The other is create a text box and submit field that runs a macro to ban the IP in the box

Both would take advance macro/html.programong to accomplish.

The best solution I have found is a ddwrt ssh firewall
Using ipta Les to completely remove and reject said IP coming in.

I also think define the mimetype might fox this before HTML code is required
