HFS ~ HTTP File Server / New Forum Request
« on: December 08, 2007, 09:34:54 PM »

Why not start another forum category and call it Macros or Coding or something like that.

I find it very annoying reading through threads and all of a sudden someone posts a bunch of code that hasn't got anything to do with the subject of the thread.  There has been so much of this going on now.

Please start another forum just for coding and let them dump all the code they want in that forum rather than contaminate other forums.

Bug reports / beta 146 archivable & browse sub-folders
« on: November 26, 2007, 05:33:29 AM »
Looks like this was missed from the beta forum:

Quote from: maverick
Something wrong with this build.  I can't say that it actually crashes but on start-up once I start to browse the folders/sub-folders, HFS quits and Exits all of a sudden.  I can reproduce this problem everytime I try to browse a folder/sub-folder.

Quote from: rejetto
it works with subfolders here
find more clues about the problem or pass me your vfs and ini (privately)

Make one or more of the sub-folders archivable.  Then try to browse them.  HFS will quit and Exit.

Bug reports / beta 146 Experimental High Speed Handling
« on: November 25, 2007, 02:49:25 AM »

Turned on my default.  This feature never worked well for me.  To many highs and lows.

Anyway, when I turn it off and restart system, HFS doesn't remember my previous OFF setting.

Please fix.  Thanks.

Bug reports / Links before
« on: November 15, 2007, 04:31:49 PM »

virtual file system -> links before = ON by default.

If I turn OFF this feature, it's back ON again when HFS is run again.  Yes file system and options have been saved.

Please fix.  Thanks.

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / ?page
« on: November 13, 2007, 12:26:54 AM »
Is ?page in beta 142/143 your answer to multi-page browsing from the to-do list?

I tested locally by manually changing the url with ?page=1&limit=20, ?page=2&limit=20 etc.... and it works just fine.

How and where do you add ?page to the template (html)?

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Template Editor - Help option
« on: September 23, 2007, 11:09:30 AM »

Just tried the Help option in the template editor.  It appeared not to work as nothing happened when I clicked on Help.  At first I thought that something got broken but then I discovered that the Help window was buried below other windows.

I would like to suggest that the Help window be 'always on top'.

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Time & Date
« on: September 23, 2007, 11:01:14 AM »

1.  Right now we have a symbol %timestamp% that gives you both time & date (2007-09-23 4:44:51 AM).  Could you add one or two spaces in between the date and time result.  It would make it easier to read.

2.  Would it be possible to add two new symbols - one for date (%date%) and one for time (%time%)?

Bug reports / Graph Speeds
« on: September 19, 2007, 08:55:56 PM »

I have waited up to 15 mins (then quit) for the graph in-out speeds to return.  Is this a bug?

Bug reports / Gui Problems?
« on: September 09, 2007, 07:07:02 AM »
2.2a beta 131

1.  Final download speeds reported for the same transfer in the log and gui don't agree.  (actually the browser's download manager comes in with yet a different download speed).  It makes me wonder if any of them are correct.

2. I notice that sometimes the speed is shown in the gui and other times it isn't shown.

3. Sometimes the % complete bar shows up and other times it doesn't.

4. Footer bar - Out: 0.0 KB/s and In: 0.0 KB/s don't always show any activity when there should be.

Bug reports / Don't Consider as a Download build 117
« on: July 12, 2007, 09:13:15 AM »
Not sure which build this started but there is a problem in build 117

Don't Consider as a Download  /  Don't count as Download mask --> seems to be broken.

Bug reports / No Download Option
« on: June 26, 2007, 07:02:10 PM »

No Download = enabled for Real Folders
File Type = mp3
Status = Broken

I'm not sure what build this happened in.  Just noticed the problem.  With No Download enabled, it works correctly with all other file types I tried, except for mp3 files.

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Prevent Leeching
« on: June 13, 2007, 02:30:38 AM »
1.  With prevent leeching enabled, and HFS detects a leeching event, what happens or what is supposed to happen?  Does HFS send a scripted message to the user, drop connection, ban the IP, log the event... ?

2.  Is there a way to test that the "prevent leeching" feature is working properly?

3.  Also, does the "allowed referer" feature have to be enabled for the "prevent leeching" feature to work?

I guess this post is to rejetto.
