Is your domain just a redirect to your local server??
In that case your local IP number is the right choice ofcourse...

Why don't you ask HFS users to host the file, with several mirrors always easy to download HFS.

I would like to help.

I know, not a real answer on your question (auto-ban)

But for the time being can the following do the trick for you?
>> Menu  >> Limits  >> Ban

When you put malicious warez on it, it is malicious...  ;-)

Just kidding....   Yes some anti-virus programs give a virus warning on hfs.exe,
but as far as i know not on websites running on hfs.

HFS is no malware, websites running on hfs are no malicious sites (or you put some malicious software on it)

It's more then once explained in the forum and even on the HFS website I believe.

No wonder it's running on Apache....    ;-)

You don't have to shout here, we can read...

The selftest of HFS is since longer time not available, read the forum for info.
Beta 2.3/284 is working fine, there is nothing wrong with it.
Maybe you changed port from port 80, or some other things in configuration.

Good luck!

Bug reports / Re: My phone suddenly stops streaming

Possible answers:
1. noone else has problems with the HTC phone
2. it's a bug in your phone, NOT in HFS
3. see 2, so message is in wrong forum
4. noone cares?  ;)

I have never problems with the "umlaut"; the "Ringel-S' is always replaced with the "Doppel-S".
Other special german signs i leave them out.

French: i leave the "accent circonflexe"; it isn't necessary.

Thanks Raybob, your answer did lead me in the right direction!!

D/L from the HFS website, that's V2.2f bld 155, now d/l from the link in the 283 topic in this forum.

With the bld 283 my problem is solved, HFS running fine and starting much faster as before,
loading the vfs file is now seconds instead of minutes...

Thanks to all who did give info & help

HFS stopped working topic...

Problem solved, pffff very stupid, but I downloaded from the HFS website, that's V2.2f bld 155
Now downl. via the forum link, thats build 283 from the beta version.

I'll leave here for the moment, sitting somewhere in a dark room..   ;)

@ Massimo: build 283 is loading the vfs file much faster, just seconds instead of minutes, thanks again for looking into it!!

I downloaded build 283, but get V2.2f-build 283; file is much smaller then my actual hfs.exe, which is v2.3 build 282
-  759.808 hfs_bld282.exe
-  572.928 hfs_bld283.exe

Replaced back my build 282 exe file and indeed hfs starts after a long loading time for the vfs file, this lasts several minutes
where it seems that HFS has hung up itself, but actual several minutes later HFS start as it should...

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Re: Feature Request: bind root to where HFS.exe is

In my opinion most users have data (read websites) on another drive as C: where you install programs, applications etc.

As I have problems with HFS at the moment I installed for test another webserver software;
it has only the possibility to serve data from the root of the program folder, made it useless for me.

avira is still running in the background even if you dissable it.
ad hfs.exe to exclude list
Did exclude it in Avira when installing HFS months ago as most AV scanners give a virus warning on hfs.
Sent the vfs file to Rejetto, maybe that gives a clue later on, as Rejetto is moving at the moment.

But thanks anyway.

do you have any antivirusprogram running on your server?
if so try to dissable it and try again.
Disabled AV software (Avira) but without result, HFS freezes on reading the VFS file.
Thanks for your idea anyway.

As latest software I installed Netlimiter (V3) on the server PC, did exit the for a try, no result.
