Time to tease. :)
Like I said in the stickied post. This template makes use of jQuery. This lets us use some amazing plugins.
This is a preview of the newest addition Top-Up (http://gettopup.com/), it is a lightbox type plugin that was quite complete feature wise, for our use with HFS. I had to modify it a fair bit though to make it suit our needs, I had to get RAWR-Player in there! I need to upgrade my own JS and RAWR-Player to change preview boxes and get the 'playlist' type thing we have going in the other templates.
I have to add a preview icon next, then start work on getting selective archive and delete working. Not to mention the other interface upgrades that will go along with that.

Good things take time.. something I don't really have recently.

Really cool! This will be my next HFS template :)
-
Very nice ! 8)
I see you have recovered a "bit" of motivation ... and a little free time. :P
It's a good new for all! :)
-
I am dedicating my free time this weekend to this.
With rejetto's help I've sorted out just about everything now, you can selectively archive and delete using the same code as the default template! I only intend to add selective archive and delete, these are the most requested/missed Beta features. They are also directly accessible in the HFS access properties so it only makes sense. I also don't want to clutter this template, it was always supposed to be simple.
The interface needs some tuning but the functionality is there, one step closer. I hope to finish it off tonight then organise the red and black themes... then release after thorough bug testing.
-
Almost there now. :D
I need to implement some kind of tooltip system to enable proper file comments. I also need an alert to say 'files ready' or something, when people use the selective archive/delete functions. I want to use the tooltip system for that too.
Then I just have to bug test, update the other themes... and release... but it will have to wait until next weekend now!
Having some issues with IE6, as usual, the template 'works' but the interface is not great... I figured using jQuery would help with this, but switching/adding classes doesn't seem to work properly?? I don't care about PNG's not displaying properly but the interface not working is annoying me.
-
It's always like that; the time saved on one side is lost on the other side with IE (it must be the Microsoft slogan).
If you want email me your .PNG of your project with precise indications (RGB) on the background on which them are put.
I'll make you a "pack" special IE.

i don't give a shit, just tell me who's the girl in the photo.
well done :D

It's my sister! >:(
Vai volare! >:(

Alessandra Torresani (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0003779/), plays the cylon girl in Caprica, a series made as a prequel story to the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica series.
Also this: http://phillyd.tv/index.php/2010/07/30/the-best-thing-about-caprica-season-1-5/
But back on topic... I am re-thinking the interface. I think a decent size Green download button should come alive when selections are made, same goes for a red delete. Just to make things a bit more obvious.
As for IE, after further testing, the code 'works' but I am not seeing the CSS state changes anywhere... wondering if maybe it is just the way IE6 handles CSS.
-
css state change?
-
You know how you add/remove css class names with jquery? well it seems the classes are being add in IE6, but I am not seeing the result. The css works if I hard code it. But not when I tell it to happen with jQuery... it does work on a more basic example so I am having trouble figuring this one out.

Really cool! This will be my next HFS template :)
Right on !... even in "english" at the moment i'll go along with it ;) pretty damn cool ...

TSG, i'm happy to see you working your templates.
If ie6 is causing you troubles .. don't you think it's time to drop support for ie6?
Most sites, google, youtube etc. don't support it any more, ie9 is to be released soon. People should update or use other browsers!
-
i don't give a shit, just tell me who's the girl in the photo.
Just choose : a "silicon(e) valley girl" maybe better than a "valley girl" ;D
Ouuups ... did her italian name tease U Rejetto ?

Most ot Yahoo does not support IE6 any more time to get IE8 then your problems might be fixed & you can release the updated version of this temple. The version that is out now has many errors like lot of images & buttom do not appare you get a red x

You should tell rejetto about this, its not the template, its HFS not giving you the files! Or the files aren't there for some reason on your end, it works here.
-
Update after 4 nights of playing around... its pretty much done haha. Just debugging it at the moment. I might have to write a 'known issues' list and put it in the readme. Only IE issues of course :'( nothing that stops its functionality as a file serving template though. Just gotta sort out the themes and bugs now, the header now uses a sprite to reduce unnecessary connections with HFS.

Man thats some great work..
Wish I had your skills on scripting..
Looking forward to the release
-
Any word when the new updated version is gonna come out
-
When I feel its ready ;D
EDIT: Finished now, just bug testing - then I have to tidy up the other templates and release... Black is a favourite from this template so here it is, with a commented file, and 'new' flags.

Pretty damn sexy if you ask me..
Great work..

After going over the code a few times this week. I am pretty confident for a release this weekend sometime.
I had some delays due to a couple of serious bugs (browser crashing bugs!). Basically I had to re-write some parts. And it just needed some tightening up, a lot of loose ends. IE6 users now get some basic functionality too, after I changed the way I look at items in the CSS, hard to explain in simple terms but IE6 prefers a more direct approach.
I have also gone all out with the README for a change! I have commented the [file] section of the template too because it is VERY complex in this template. It makes sense if you break it up. Here is the current readme.txt if anyone wants to read it

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
----- Simple Installation.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Download the latest beta of HFS here:
http://www.rejetto.com/forum/index.php?board=33.0
Extract the archive so that 'template' and 'Live vX.X.X.tpl' is
beside hfs.exe. Open HFS, go to 'Menu > HTML Template > Change Template'
and select the .tpl file. Once this is successful. Hit the 'Open in
browser' button located on the left side of HFS.
The template is now installed.
In more recent HFS Beta this is no longer required. It should work from
any directory by simply selecting the .tpl file.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
----- Template Settings.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
The template has some custom settings.
They are fairly self explanatory. You can locate
them in the very first section of the template
[special:strings].
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
----- Browser Support.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
This version of the template uses modern browser features. It works
fine in all standards compliant browsers, however Internet Explorer 6
and below do not support PNG24 images, and some other CSS and JavaScript
features that limit the user experience.
IE7 does work fine, but the Top-Up jQuery plugin next and previous
methods sometimes break and alert an error. This is nothing to worry
about, and there is not much we can do about it.
Basic HFS file operations and navigation are not
disturbed by these issues!
The best solution to get smooth operation, upgrade to
Internet Explorer 8, if you must...
We recommend these browsers for smooth operation:
Mozilla Firefox: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/
Google Chrome: http://www.google.com/chrome/
Opera: http://www.opera.com/
Apple Safari: http://www.apple.com/safari/
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
----- Thumbnails.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
The template can show the original image squished into a thumbnail, if
you have set this in the template settings, and do not provide a
generated thumbnail for the file to show. The file must also be
accessible.
To generate thumbnails and improve your performance with JPG, JPEG
and PNG images. Use the TPGen, and load in the
'TPGen Preset - Live (v3.0.0+).ini' provided in this archive.
To get the TPGen, download the latest version here:
http://www.rawr-designs.com/projects/tpgen/index.html
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
----- Custom Icons.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Standard custom icons not enough? You can add custom icons pretty
easily, with this version of the template. Just drop the icon
set, named by extension, into:
/template/theme/images/icons/
If your icons do not work, maybe you are using a different format
(extension) to the default icons, it may be a simple matter of editing
the 'switch' macro in the [file] section of the template.
Make sure you understand what you are changing, and create a backup
before you do make changes!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
----- Media Previews.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Live now supports many media types. Media Previews are represented
by a magnifier icon appearing over the file icon.
Most previews are pretty straight forward, some require a plugin.
We recommend these plugins for smooth operation:
Adobe Flash Player: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
DivX Web Player: http://www.divx.com/en/software/divx-plus/web-player/
Quicktime: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
Windows Media Player: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
----- Tooltips.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Live template has never been able to display the extra item information
that HFS can provide (such as comments), until now.
We have come up with a tooltip system, it integrates with the current
interface and displays when you hover on items, or the server
information in the footer. You can hover on the tooltip itself to pause
and read the information.
If you do not want tooltips you can turn them off in the
template settings.
HTML markup and Double Quotes are not allowed in the comment field
of Live. A small HFS macro is used to prevent this issue from breaking
the template.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
----- Item Selection.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Item selection has been done in such a way that it tries to mimic an
operating system situation, as if you are holding Ctrl and
selecting items in a folder. You only need to select the background
area of an item to 'select' or 'deselect'.
The 'Select' drop down provides other selection options.
The interface in the top right changes depending on the state of the
folder. Item selection and clicking the associated buttons in the top
right navigation are disabled by default and only become active under
certain conditions.
If Archive is enabled, selected items will activate
the green download button.
If Delete is enabled, selected items will activate
the red delete button.
If Both are enabled, the selected items will activate both buttons.

By using Live you agree to the license. Please do not steal our
work, reference where possible and if there is any major bugs, or fixes you
have created on your own, please report them on the forum.

Hi TSG ! :)
Your template seems to be "explosive". ;)
Here is a translation of your Readme.
It's an "Lisez-moi" in french language.
Pronounce "leezay môâ ! :-*" in a tantalising way! :D
:)
-
Sorry about not releasing yet. I ran into some issues that I have been sorting out. Then this weekend was very busy.
It will be soon.
-
Hey,
are there Options to write Comments like in the default Template,
and did u thought about it to build in if there is an Comment function. the TINY MCE editor?
-
No this build wont have that, the default template does a lot of stuff and I am trying to keep it simple.
-
It's easy to have comments be allowed on the server. I use a simple shoutbox that I added to the html template. Mine is from yellbox.com but just about any html one will work.
-
Hello!
Thanks for a wonderful template! very cool!
wanted to ask you on the screenshot allocated new files, and you can add comments in the Download-I have not found how to do.
and more important question: how exactly where you want to change to this frame (where all the folders) to do already and is left-aligned? to the right side to add the same frame with the information the link above to friends, etc.
and somehow you can remove the width of the folder window, or rather its area? mk files with long names do not appear fully and users do not see the full file name

in the css in the corresponding folder.
