The rejetto error is unusual, probably has nothing to do with people not being able to hit you; also that error sounds like it might be on his side, but you dont need the self test to work properly for people to hit you, so lets establish a few things until he can get that fixed or tell you if its own his side at all.

Generally it really is just as easy as forwarding the port your using HFS on.  Are you sure you did that right?  Either way, if your using NAT your going to have to do a few things.  If you are using nat you might have a modem that can handle DHCP, if so its fairly easy to get forwarding working, but usually thats not the case.

Let use know your router make/model and modem make/model after you confirm with us that you 100% know that you forwarded the port correctly.

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Re: HFS on OPENSUSE 10.3

the icons work in the tray in some distros, opensuse may work.

wine/crossover is your bet.  I have crossover pro here for you: http://kurt.dvian.net/software/Crossplatform%20LINUX%20-%20Crossover%206.0.sh

dont install as root if your new to linux. save to /home/username/  (i'd rename the download to crossover.sh to make it easier) basic install is:

Quote
pull up konsole (alt + f2, then type konsole (kde) or gnome-terminal (gnome))
Konsole: cd /home/username/
Konsole: ./crossover.sh

if its not binary use: chmod +x crossover.sh
and then run it, itll be a gui from there
Its built on wine but has quite a few more features, and 3d accel support. but of course you could install hfs on it as well.

Everything else / Need a site tested in firefox

Hey All, this has nothing to do with any rejetto product.

I just have a site and it looks amazing in IE6/7 and I knew there would be some cleanup to make it look good in firefox but its completely destroyed, it looks just horrible but in IE its perfect, nothing wrong with it...

TSG brought this to my attention and had me run it through the w3 validation script and it comes up with 5 errors now (had 83), regardless how does it look in firefox?

PLeaes include the version :)
-Kurt (PS, just the main page is using transitional xhtml, so go off that, please dont visit the other pages as they havent been attempted to be fixed yet)

Perhaps I should point out that what you are doing is not concrete for the default template, there are a few that can.

One that comes to mind is, ehm.. terayon
tsg will have a fit if i don't mention his name so i did (although im not sure if TOG has slideshows or not)
I'm quite certain tsg's new template will have slideshow functionality soon if tog doesn't.

router & port problems / Re: help with router!!!
« on: January 29, 2008, 04:23:02 AM »
Assuming your running it on port 80 really all you need to do is turn HFS off (disable) set the port to 80 (it is by default), turn the server back on. Your switch has to connect to something if it truly is a switch; if its a router with a 4 port switch then you need to open a port on the router.

www.portforward.com will help you with this after you find the make/model

I assume its a managed switch? Regardless a switch is just a repeater so you'll be setting up the port forwarding on your router, and potentially software-sided firewall.

If your at your work and all you have access to is the switch, there isnt much you can do unless your supervisor can open a port on the router that the switch is associated with.

A little more info is needed to get you going.

Why not get a life?

Just kidding, i'm doubtful anyone will use this though, there is so much support on the forums but i suppose if you could get people to use it, then it would be a better support system then the forums maybe

Has anyone joined btw?
Just curious, why undernet? why not something that specializes in oss

Voted strictly on readability.  Soon I hope to learn some coding and be worth my vote :P

I agree with tsg though, that looks best for readability and to be seen in junks of code
