HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Re: folder behavior.
« on: November 30, 2007, 07:21:00 AM »
Thanks For the suggestion.
Saddlyi am trying to set it up so that more than one person can make changes/additions. My fear is that one person may forget to convert/reconvert and mess things up for the other two.

I guess I need HFSv3!

Rejetto is this possible? Please?

Rejetto I think it would be a good idea to have a folder menu option that updates virtual folders that are bound to real folders.

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / folder behavior.
« on: November 30, 2007, 06:35:01 AM »

1] I want to create folders that list the shares in HFS like it does in a virtual folder so I can copy each individual url link.

2] I want the folders to automatically update if I add or delete or rename  a file on the hard drives folder like it does in a real folder.

Can this be done?

I am using the beta 2.3 #146.

Sry, still learning my way around.

I have an existing folder on my harddrive,, I need to ust that to upload to. How do I add that to HFS?

I checked and still d not see the option.
I am right clicking on an actual folder on my drive, not one in HFS.
Also when I enable shell integration it does not work, I get an option to add to HFS but if I use it I get a Monolib error.

Just to clarify. I would like to use an existing folder on the hardrive as an upload location. Do I need to mak a folder or add it or something like that too HFS?

Is it possible to have uploads to a specific existing folder?

Also can i place a password on it so that only authorized people can upload to it?

HFS ~ HTTP File Server / Download box
« on: November 28, 2007, 12:58:35 AM »
whenI place a link to a Download on my forum, it opens a nw browser page and a dialog box for the download. The webpage shows the address of the download. I do not liek this.

I have seen other sites that only open the download dialog box, not an aditional browser page, ther is no address information displayed.

is this possible with HF too?

I have not  placed a limit on the Dl speed or connections.

MY isp is DSL, rated a 8gb dwn and 764 UP.
I get 9+ Down and 1+ up over several different test sites.

When downloading a file from HFS i can not exced 46kb/s.

Why?
