1. Is there any workaround that enables HFS generates the "XML" playlist with the language we want?

are you sure HFS uses unicode for "playlist" ?

probably yes , because when we see the link from the browser , it's "http://xxx.com/%AAACC%BC%C.mp3"in the list.(Those "%AAACC" are the chinese words or japanese).After the convert to the list on the flash player is something like this "|,<<|:p" .It should be unicode language but unable to display.Which turns out unable to gather the link,so it can't be played.
Is there any workaround with it???

true, it is forced to be that way.
i don't remember why, we could experiment it, but it is time for stability now, not experiments. such change may affect other things.

in the sources the change would be

Well, while we are being waiting for the new version I attach the translation in Italian of the various files for V1.1.

Be careful because the mp3 reader doesn't work well with IE (6 - 7), at least in my tests and therefore you have 2 options:

1) you not feel music 

2) you install another browser (Work and FIREFOX works very well) 

There are some small differences among files named:

HFS Terayon v1.1_ITA.tpl 

and

HFS Terayon v1.1_ITA_REGISTER_MARQUEERED_all.tpl

the first is +/- like the original .tpl but in italian lng

the second, have a Register section pointing to an email address to insert (webmaster e-mail),

the  info on Folders, File and Total repeated twice (up and down) and a marquee message with HFS logo

     Yo! thx for all support. I have a fix that can make the IE 6 and IE 7 works perfectly with that flash player and it can display the language you like inside the playlist (even japanese and chinese).

I will post it out later that you all guys can do a experiment on it.

v1.2 is still incomplete.. and what use would it be to release a version which still has bugs in it and isnt complete..

You can, however, keep track of what is going on. Just go to my "Template Test Zone" where you can test the latest beta version.

Then again.. I am busy completing the current project and then release a stable release of this template.. (i hope). So, just be patient for a little longer

Terayon is, in my opinion ex aequo* with Thuderchicken of Glory.

The problem is that I don't know which choose  are both too nice

Well the choice is simple, if you have a server running on a nice internet speed (512k+ upstream i think, it doesn't load too nice on my 256k), without counted uploads, and computer power is not a problem... then i will admit the Terayon is a very nice choice.


Giant Eagle has joined forces on the Thunderchicken of Glory project, the idea behind the 'ToG' is to have a power packed template that is feature packed, efficient, small, not a resource hog (cpu, ram etc..), well coded and would probably even work ok on an isdn internet connection. Whereas the Terayon with all those snazzy images and stuff it is not recommended for people with internet like us poor souls here in Australia with some people on plans with counted uploads and low speeds (128k before i upgraded).

So far joint code efforts include the mp3 player open/close javascript by all 3 of us, even rejetto jumped in to help us on that one Then there is the current directory code, Giant Eagle created the 1st version, then i put in ideas, and flynsarmy improved it cause he is pro like that lol. Just the other day flynsarmy and I made an add upload input code. And we also have a joint effort on the actual mp3 player itself lol.

We hope to continue to share code and ideas to hopefully build 2 beautiful templates, you will see a lot more of ToG/Terayon new template features in each template, this is of course depending on the type of feature it is, this is all because they are now from a joint effort haha

Dear developers of hfs and terayon,

I have been using hfs webserver with terayon v1.1 template for a couple of weeks with my huge satisfaction.  You did a great job functionally and also in terms of  available service. Not mentioning the look of terayon template. This is the perfect solution for me to share my own stuff within the family without sending large materials by e-mail.

However I have an enormous problem.

I’ve decided to publish this problem here, in this topic because I am not sure this fault caused by hfs or the applied template.:-(

Well, the problem is:

After setting up hfs the server is not available/cannot display to everybody. As a general rule 2 of 10 attempts were unsuccessful no matter using IE or Firefox. I can’t really see what is the problem, but it seems to me the server is avoid to connect only from certain IP addresses. However, I can see them trying to connect the page in the server’s status log, but the site isn’t
display for them. There is no problem with my settings, the IP addresses are not banned, theoretically anybody can connect. There isn’t any restriction, they are not behind routers, so that’s why I don’t understand the reason of the fault.

Has somebody ever realise a fault like this? If you have any idea, which may help me to fix it, please do not hesitate to react.

I cant figure out your problem, it could have something to do with your upload speed, what is it?
Also are these people seeing like a white page, or a white page with links.
Or is it simply timing out, but this doesn't seem to be the case, cause u can see it in the log.


Giant Eagle might know the answer, i don't use such big templates on my server to reduce this occurance. I only have 256k upstream.

Hope we can fix this if it is a template issue.

Have you tried using the Default template? Can the ppl connect then, or do they still time-out?

Yes,I tried default template,unchanged effect,they see time out screen :-(

Then this means they aren't connecting to your computer properly.

Either the IP hasnt updated, if you use a DNS. Or you give them the wrong IP to connect on.

Your router/modem or something is somehow not working, u may need to open DMZ or Port Forward them.
