Title: HFS Terayon v1.2.1
Post by: Giant Eagle on February 27, 2007, 01:26:25 PM
>> HFS Terayon v1.2.1 has been released!! <<
>> For more information, read the first thread. (http://www.rejetto.com/forum/index.php?topic=4071.0) <<

Both bugs have been fixed.

question:

Is the flash player now compatible with IE?
I cant get it work at IE7 but it works at Firefox2 :'(
That's a problem i cant seem to fix.. For some ppl it DOES work in IE, and for others it doesnt.
If someone knows a solution to this, please let me know! Seems to me that for some ppl IE doesnt support ~files.lst as a playlist.

This is the main reason we added the tiny flash player, cause that one works in every browser.

idea:

How about adding a button for "opening in a new window"?
I recently found out that the method that is used to `preview´ the images using the magnify glass, can also be used to show a Flash File. The next thing i'll be working on will be adding this method using an invisible frame so you can browse the folders and still listen to the music.

That's great!
But how is it related to my idea ???

Isn't that the main purpose of having the flash player in a new window? So that you can continue browsing folders on the FileServer without the flashplayer that stops playing cause you browsed to another folder?

Srry if i'm getting the wrong idea now XD

Dayletter:

Opening in a new window will cause a "POP UP" action , many browser ( especially IE and firefox) will block it up ( they thinks it's an advertisement ).Users have to enable itself on the web to allow pop up( but even i dun like to look at the pop up , so i won't enable it ).

For the ~file.lst action , Eagle , i can tell , if you can convert it as a "playlist.xml" or something " *.xml " , i think every browser works it perfectly.
( I do convert myself and change your code reads the file "playlist.xml" as default , not "~file.lst" , works perfect in IE.)

If using target _ blank , will not do a pop up action. But what your sounds like when there's mp3 avalible,the player will pop up automatically.

Refer back to the _blank action , it might get inconvenient for users ( still many users are not keen on surfing internet, especially when they see the mp3 list under the table, they will just click on it and download , instead of clicking up the flash player. ).Auto popup is still better , no matter browser is blocked. ;)

oh no...i think you all misunderstood what i mean...
What i mean is some file types like .jpg, .html or .txt which are opened directly by default,
some people prefer opening them in a new window...
therefore i think it will be more convenient for some people if that new button is added...
Hope u guys understand what i mean...

btw,
what does the download button at the "QuickLink and Extra's" section used for?

oic , sry about that dayletter.

Something have to report to "rejetto" and "Eagle", the -fileslist.tpl- "UTF-8" is useless for different language files , still displaying undefine language(because saving as "ANSI" language).

Maybe is HFS problem.Just because HFS *.tpl files can't read the file save as UTF-8 for sure.(It will display only " ?? "after saving *.tpl in UTF-8 mode , you can see those " ?? " under "HFS template import" mode. ***Remind: Save as "ANSI" is useless for UTF-8 language , only saving as UTF-8.***)

I now get what you want.

The download button does nothing special at the moment, but i guess i can modify it to open things in a new screen (like .txt .html and .jpg) if that's what you want :).

UTF8 support for *.tpl files comes with next build

Lets wait for it :D

UTF-8 *.tpl is very important ( as it can read the file and link name with unicode ).
Rejetto , can the filelist.tpl auto convert to xml list instead of m3u kind(for media streaming)? Because the xml list can let many browser read. ;)

Thx,

I think that's the main reason why you are able to create filelist.tpl, so that you can configure the file list as an xml file.

Most people prefer the file list as the default tho.

Its the nicest template ever. Great work !

Thanks ^^, I'm glad you like it

Well , i can say filelist.tpl is very convenient , but the IE6 can't read it~~so maybe just convert it to *xml file , than all IE can read.Hows the convertion works?maybe rejetto have the answers.... :-[

I noticed that a lot of you ppl are trying to check for updates but that it is not working properly.

This is because you are trying to connect using your local address. You see, the Check For Update feature copies your address (E.g. http://localhost/) and transfers that to the server. The server, then, is using that address to send the requested data back. But if the server tries to send the data to http://localhost/ it would simply send it to itself! ???
So, if you want to make the Check For Updates feature working, you have to use it while you are connected to your FileServer externally (Using your Internet IP)
The Thunderchicken of Glory is using the exact same method and does therefore have the same problem!

Ofcourse, i am working on a solution, that makes it able to check for updates locally  ::)

Hi GE

last version of Terayon in Italian language it's now online (with some changes from your english version but only for my use, I will put the original from English in Italian online when I have a little space of time ).

I still testing and after will put some hints and images ...

If any want try my testing video folder this is address:

http://194.177.97.234:8080/Video/ (http://194.177.97.234:8080/Video/)

userid:  ospite
password: ospite

Test http files for stream video in another windows.

(this it's necessary because with diff.tpl in IE 6 and 7 playlist don't works  :'(

Best regards

f.

I have no problems testing the check update locally, cause i use http://127.0.0.1:100 and it works perfect, all you would have to do GE is make a javascript that converts localhost to 127.0.0.1 and it should work fine, thats if its the word that is stuffing it up.

If i would place all the extra features under the item name, the Quicklink and Extra's tab would become obsolete.

But i might aswell re-create the Quicklink and Extra's tab so its not "so far away" anymore..

First I just have to say that is a great template! Thank you very much!

Second just a little fix to the thumbnail so you don't have to make a copy of every picture at a lower size. All you have to do is start HFS, click on Menu->Edit HTML template.

Then scroll down to where it says [file.jpg = file.bmp = file.gif = file.png] and replace whats below it with this:

Code: [Select]
<tr class=off onmouseover="this.className='on'" onmouseout="this.className='off'"><td class=rw style="padding:0px;border-left:0px;"><a href="%item-url%" target=_blank><div class=thumb onmouseout="popUp(event,'t4')" onmouseover="popUp(event,'t4')"><div class=thumb><img src="%item-url%" width="50" height="50"></div></div><br><br>&nbsp;%item-name%</a>%new%%comment%</td>
<td class=rw align=center>%item-size%</td>
<td class=rw align=center>%item-modified%</td>
<td class=rw align=center>%item-dl-count%</td>
</tr>

Basically all I did was change part of the code so that instead of looking for a thumbnail that you created it would just load the image at a smaller size.

As i said in my own thread, this is NOT a fix. There is nothing to fix. the thumb dir method works the best way, we have spent nearly 6 months figuring all this out.

Giant Eagle is working on a batch file that compresses them for you. It works quite effectively, but i want mine cropped to 50x50 at all times, and around 1kb each thumb, and this method still does not achieve the first problem, but when it does :o i'll so be using it.

http://fabnos.fast-ip.eu/Public/Music/Aretha.html (http://fabnos.fast-ip.eu/Public/Music/Aretha.html)

nome utente:  ospite
password:      ospite

/Aretha.html/.

Il link del sw in questione è

http://www.anytag.de/forums/index.php?showtopic=1563 (http://www.anytag.de/forums/index.php?showtopic=1563)

Hi GE

While I'm controlling italian versione for 1.2.1, I have found here some errors ... :'(  in my version

Also in english version of tpl it seems me that 2 strings

Total download speed: [X,XX Kbp/s] and Total upload speed: [X,XX Kbp/s]

are inverted.

In fact, see attached imgs, counter starts for opposite operations.

They are not inverted but are just viewed from the Server's perspective, just like everything else that is shown there.

If you are (for example) streaming something from the server, the server is, in fact, Uploading to you and vice versa.
i dont know why i've done it this way but i will change the name or invert it in the next build.

The folder hits is just a sum of all the hits from every file in that folder. That's the reason why i disabled it, to re-enable it, you would have to go to the [folder] section and replace this part:

Code: [Select]
<b>Hits:</b> <i>Folder</i>

into this:

Code: [Select]
<b>Hits:</b> %item-dl-count%

How can I make the icons smaller? Just like yours?

If you want the icons are "sharp" after resizing, resize with any tool, like irfanview or photshop first.

Then change every  width="64" height="64"  in the template code of terayon to your choice. my icons are 45x45 small

the "folder.gif" is only 40x40 pixel, looks better in this size.

Download it here:

I hoped no-one would notice it until i release v1.3.0 ^^ but i was wrong.

It's caused by a colspan; just count the numer of colums there and adjust the colspan on the bar at the bottom to fix it ureself ;D

so much too do.. i hope a stable release of %protected% wont be released any time soon XD

Look for a style="" or a class="CLASSNAME". If he uses class open the style.css page into an editor (notepad or wordpad does the job) and locate the class under .CLASSNAME {CSSIFY;} .

Sorry for the late reply >_<

Anyway, this is the code you are looking for.

Code: (used for the Links that change when you hover above them) [Select]
.nav_top { // used for text that is everything but part of a link //
color: #2A3852;
padding: 0;
margin: 0;
}
.nav_top a:link, .nav_top a:visited { // used for links //
float: center;
font-weight: bold;
font-size: 10px;
padding: 5px 6px 6px;
text-decoration: none;
color: #EEE;
}
.nav_top a:link.active, .nav_top a:visited.active, .nav_top a:hover { // used for links when you hover above them //
color: #113A5D;
background: url(/template/images/cellpic3.gif);
}

In order to get it to work; just create one big span
Code: [Select]
<span class="nav_top"> around all the stuff you want the color of the links change when you hover above them.

a 'lil example:

Code: [Select]
<span class="nav_top">
   <a href="http://www.google.nl/">GOOGLE!!</a><br />
   <a href="http://www.wikiepedia.org/">Wiki</a><br />
   <a href="http://www.rejetto.com/forum">Rejetto Forum</a><br />

Ye we could do this... this is easily possible if Giant Eagle made the template using css to import the images only, then we could supply as many colour schemes as people like, i am temped to do this with my ToG template... i did do it once but all i got was people complaining they didn't know how to implement it :P making a default colour scheme just made it easier on myself. Another idea  :o possibilities for these templates are endless....

We are almost finished the first beta of a Thumbnail and Preview Generator with GUI :D i'm going to make the icons for it tonight hehe.

>_< it wasnt my idea to use both css and html code to show the images..

It's a nice idea, and i guess it would be possible.. this just delays the launch date for v1.3.0 even more. XD.

Meh, im busy learning Visual Basic (and programming the Thumbnail and Preview Generator GUI) and so far, its working perfectly! Visual Basic is really easy to learn and to understand :)

This is the final appearance for the T&P Generator GUI.. if im correct..

looking good  ;)

The icons have to be a package file or something with each res icon inside it .ico does the job, need a lil editor that can build a .ico package from my own images... which im reading up about.

We need a 16x16, 24x24, 32x32, 48x48, 64x64, 128x128, 256 x 256 i think. We could probably get away with just a 16x16, 32x32 and 64x64 in the icon set.

But iconising this generator is hard, i was thinking of having the lil irfanview icon and some lil icon for the generator linked together with a chain :P, the small icon can just be the generator icon the larger ones can have this linked icon :) but i don't know what to do for the generator ??? maybe some lil tiny picture like things stuck together, i dunno, i'll sleep on it.

Night ppl.

'Right Click' on the 'Folder', look for 'Don't Log'

It's a new feature, you may need to grab the latest build from the forum, i am unsure if the last release has it. That was the old way to mask and it only works for files i think. New feature works flawlessly :D

The script that makes the Images popup in a small drag-able box is attempting to download a .cur file.

I deleted this .cur file from the template folder, but i forgot to delete that line from the script cause its a pretty complex code and always thought: "ah, i will do that tomorrow ¬¬"..

But tomorrow never came ;P

So what you are seeing in your log is actually a failed attempt to download something, cause it does not exist.

I added in my template the playing of the mp3s but the titles don't work when i point the images. Why?
<td><a href="mms://%host%%encoded-folder%%item-url%" title="yoyo"><img src="/siteop/new/wmp.gif" alt="" border=0 height=24 width=24/></a><img src="/template/images/spacer.gif" width=16 height=0/><a href="%item-url%" title="xaxa"><img src="/siteop/new/download.gif" alt="" border=0 height=24 width=24/></a><br /></div>

No idea. What browser are you using, it should work in Firefox, IE and Opera to my knowledge, so long as its a link.

With switched off Javascript %upload files% before the Upload Button appear.
Remove into the template the following:
Code: [Select]
<noscript>

Is not however yet error free. See http://www.validome.org/validate/?uri=http://traxxus.dyndns.org:100/Guests/

An error becomes one probably away-get only if one does without setting the title by Javascript.

With HTML 4,01 is to replace /* <![CDATA[ */ by <!-- and /* ]]> */ by -->. See http://de.selfhtml.org/html/xhtml/unterschiede.htm#script_style (de)

TY for building this great template, my site looks great :)

A few questions tho:

- Is it possible to get rid of the "forum" and "about" in the top menu bar?
- Is it possible to stream movies?
- Does the template handle playlists?
- How do I activate the preview thumbs created with the new GUI tool?

Keep up the great work!

- Is it possible to stream movies?

- Yes, sure. Look for this piece of code inside the template:

Code: [Select]
<span class="nav_top">
<a href="/">Home</a> &#8226;
<a href="">Refresh</a> &#8226;
<a href="http://www.rejetto.com/forum/index.php?board=21.0" target="_blank">Forum</a> &#8226;
<a href="">Current user: []</a>
&#8226; <a href="~login">Login</a>

&#8226; <a href="/template/about.html">About</a>
&#8226; <a href="http://www.rejetto.com/forum/index.php?topic=4071.0" target="_blank">Help</a>
</span>

so basically, just delete the 2 lines that have Forum and About in it.

- You can stream WMV files using the Windows Media Player icon, and when the big flash player has been activated in a folder, you can stream .FLV and .SWF files aswell.
- Yes, when using the big flash player (that comes with the package; a diff template inside the .rar file)
- The new Gui tool comes also with a Diff template. When you set a folder with that diff template, the thumbnails will automatically show up

Strange issue, simple fix is to use the normal streaming player i made, works flawlessly :), i tried using the playlist system a while back and just  kept having problems. That is if you talking about the playlist player... FIX IT GE, FIX IT hehe. I finally have all the time in the world for templates, so if you need help just give us a yell. I will begin the icon for the thumbnail and preview generator next week when im bored.

He GE

some users (and also me) have doubts about

<!-- IF you are logged in, show the Server Stats -->

A thing I believe don't work: in low where you have put the line

"Total download speed: [0,00 Kbp/ses] • Total upload speed: [0,00 Kbp/ses]"

any operation the user does remains always to 0

(supposing that this line gives an information to the visualization of the upload and the download of HFS server).

Why  ???

Post by: Giant Eagle on June 18, 2007, 10:36:30 AM
Yes, i noticed that aswell.. Try refreshing the page rapidly (Press F5 10 times or so) and you will see something around 4kb down and 1kb upload speed.

This is the same as when someone else is downloading a file and you refresh the page, the total download speed will show up then; same goes for when someone uploads something to the server.

Sorry but I have not well understood  ??? ;D

I must click on F5 10 times ?
The indicator must say the max speed in/out in real time or not ?

Autoplay? does the Terayon have the flv player yet? If there is a flash player, to make it autoplay, u just have to use, ?autoplay=1 on the url in the code for most players. Giant Eagle will surely know how to do it with his, does the Terayon have a flv player? i haven't looked in ages.

Hi,

Firefox is the only browser I use. At home, work, etc.

Still cannot get MP3 Player to work.

Have you used the 'Diff Template' on the folder where you want the big flash player to be active in? Oh, and make sure Filelist.tpl is in the same folder as where HFS.EXE is located (On your hard-drive, not in the Virtual File System).

The indicator must say the max speed in/out in real time or not ?

f

no, HTML cant show something in real-time..

It shows the current up and download speed when the page 'loads', so whenever you refresh a page when someone is downloading something, that indicator will show how fast that user is downloading; but not in real-time.

Is there a way to play-previweing flv flash movies?

Yes, activate the big flash player using the 'Diff Template - Flash Mp3 Player' and put some .FLV or .SWF files in that folder. (Assuming you are using FireFox, cause IE does have some problems with this.)

Autoplay? does the Terayon have the flv player yet? If there is a flash player, to make it autoplay, u just have to use, ?autoplay=1 on the url in the code for most players. Giant Eagle will surely know how to do it with his, does the Terayon have a flv player? i haven't looked in ages.

Yes, Terayon supported this before ToG did (ok, it does need a diff template) ;D 1 - 0 for me

>_< 2 more weeks! then i can finally work on my template again ;D

He GE

isn't possible insert autorefresh every, e.g 5 or 10 seconds  ??? Also a progression bar would be nice.

In fact, in this way, users can see expecially for big down/uploads, progress of the process.

Some times with big files users can think that browser is frozen.

Autorefresh cant be done for several reasons:

 - Interupts the Upload if you are uploading.
 - Most browsers bring you back to the top of the page when you refresh.
 - Flash players (Streaming music) gets interupted aswell when you refresh.
(- IE makes an annoying sound when you refresh or open a page)

I could, however, create a small iframe with some javascript that refreshes all the time. But what if, say 5 clients are connected to your HFS. If they keep the page open, 1 connection per second will be made until they close their browsers.

As for the progress bar, it is on the to-do list for v1.3.0 and is already almost done.

As i said before, just 2 more weeks and ill have 6 weeks of play time to tweak and update my template once again ^^

Sorry for being late ;D (What to expect else from me)

I'm working hard on trying to understand visual basic and the development of v3 of the Thumbnail and Preview Generator GUI.

Anyway, i've included the diff template that is required to have a simple Image Gallery (http://s559149c2.adsl.wanadoo.nl/images/)

- It requires javascript!!, if javascript is disabled client-side, it will look like a giant mess
- No files other than BMP - JPG - PNG - GIF and Folders are supported, if you do place other files with other file extensions in there, well.. lets just say: don't =P

those are the main reasons for the big delay..

Thanks GE.  It's all good.  I know you're busy with other items!

This is going to probably be the dumbest question on the board, but where does the code get placed specifically?  I have a few folders that have images, and in your example they are in one main folder.  I am not certain if it gets placed in the main HTML section or in another location so that other file extensions don't show up there!   ::)

You need to right click on the folder that contains the images and select 'Diff Template', a new box pops-up and paste the code there. Now browse to that folder and you should see the effect of the Image Gallery :)

Great Template!

  I am only having one problem. I can not get the MP3 flash player to work. Specifically, it will not create the playlist.  I have the "Template" folder installed in the Virtual File System, and I have pasted the "Diff Template - Mp3 Player" text in the Diff Template window of the folder I would like the player to be located. Instead of extracting all the files in the folder with the HSF.exe(C:\My Documents\HSF), I created a folder called "Templates" and extracted the folder there(C:\My Documents\HSF\Templates\HFS_Terayon_V1.2.1). Could this be my problem?

Does it matter if the folder is a Real or Virtual folder?

I am using both IE7 and FireFox.

Could be.. its important that "Filelist.tpl" is in the exact same folder as where your hfs.exe is located on your hard drive, only that file is required. Other than that, some ppl have had some problems aswell cause they were using Internet Explorer (Which does not always work correctly with the generated playlist using the "Filelist.tpl").

If you use firefox by default, or are one of the ppl who can use the filelist as supposed to, then the only thing you need to to is place "Filelist.tpl" in the same folder as where hfs is located ;D

Ok.  Well Ive done that. Im not sure what else to do, but its probably because of Internet Explorer(it works fine in Firefox).  When I look in the log after I have visited the folder I find this: "Requested GET /311/Grassroots/~files.lst?420".

Anyway, thanks for the reply.
