Hi Guys, any help on the following exception appreciated.

I don't think that it is related to the version as i have tried both the .137 beta and the current stable standard 2.2a 124 versions with differnet exceptions. What other dll or files does hfs try to use maybe i have a corrupt file in my system folder?

thanks for reporting
1) what was you doing with HFS when this error came up?
2) how often you get this error?
3) are you able to reproduce it at your will?

Sadly i have no idea on what's the cause and how to fix this.
But i can discuss it here so that any programmer could eventually help me, especially delphi programmers.

This exception arise inside the function now(), a delphi standard function. This is not the first time that this function seem to cause problems.
I use it to measure time between events.
Looking at standard libs i noticed this now() thing is far from being simple. It may be a good idea to use something else. I found for example NtQuerySystemTime(), but it is not supported under win98. I dislike breaking with win98 users for this. Does anyone know a similar function but more compatible?

Thanks rejetto for the reply - the error was permanant when trying to startup HFS- i say was because i think i have found the cause!

Virumondo addaware  -damn thing took a while to remove too.

I believe this was the cause as it has now resolved since removing the addaware.

Thanks again for the reply and offer of help - noce to know it's there if needed.

FallenDevil.
