Title: ip address and port 280
Post by: joemaher on February 10, 2014, 05:14:18 PM
When I right click on my web pages online and click properties it shows my ip address and port.
Is there a way to prevent this and just show my web site address only.
This issue came about when configuring a search engine freefind. It would only search my site
by entering ip address and port number.

you need to use a dynamic DNS service.
google for it,
and you can also read here http://www.rejetto.com/wiki/index.php?title=HFS:_Main_menu#Dynamic_DNS_updater

You will have to do some advance networking...
you can use a router to "nat" to transfer you external ip address port 80 to the address of you hfs machine to the port you have set up, depending on port you chose... why did you chose port 280???, other wise you will have to have that show up in the web pages... even under a dns account...
